80 Elite Force personnel to guard Imran after security threats

LAHORE - As security threats mount with the election day nearing, PTI Chairman Imran Khan will now move with 10 mobile vehicles of Elite Force and 80 personnel.

The security of the PTI chairman’s sisters have also been beefed up after the instructions of high-ups of the law enforcement agencies.

Senior Superintendent of Police Salman Ali Khan has been assigned the task of protecting the PTI leader, security officials said.

Stop being so ignorant everywhere...this measure has been taken for all leaders, atleast in Punjab.

The IG Punjab police yesterday on TV said that they have received reports of rise in attacks so security of everybody is heightened.

It's another thing that the newspaper has said only for Imran Khan.

the federal government should provide security to every province of pakistan not just punjab, the army should hve been called long time ago, talibans are blowing up stuff every where except punjab

Police is under Provincial government, not federal.

im supporting army deployment because of obvious reasons, but army didnt come to karachi when it was needed the most

its not about MQM, if MQM didnt call army why is it coming now? army is just coming because of obvious reasons, and what it supposed to be doing is protecting people's lives in the first place more then supervising elections

I couldnt help but laugh when ulta uff bhai claimed that yeh un ki jamat kay uskari wing hain. lol
And yet the whole of MQM is an uskari wing all by its self. How many have they killed in Karachi over the years, and yet the besharmi. And I say this not as a Punjabi, screw regionalism. I say this as a PAkistani, a citizen of that country.
