this was done professionally had it made for 5K Pak Rupees .
I agree .. I cant see any Baloch food being spicy . actually its made in the best way to preserve the nutrients. through slow cooking.

I have eaten Saji lot of times from Barkat Market Lahore
Recommendation by a decent young man like you,has prompted me to try digging my wobbly 75 years old teeth into this "number 2" sajji,as experienced by Paksanity.

Same here. Looks yummy, looks a little too dry for me and with White rice :o:. I hope it's not too spicy.

Sajji or Kaak roti?

Sajji is extremely tasty and not spicy at all (we are talking original here). It is plain raw meat. Crispy and a bit crunchy on surface with tender meat on the inside. Not heavy as there is hardly any added oil/ ghee. Meat is roasted with natural fat which dissolves and adds to the taste. Overall a bit dry but light. You can eat a lot of it and honestly it is hard to stop. Kinda of wakes up one's primitive instinct of cave age and our love for meat roasted on fire before we got into delicacies of herbs and spices. A must have. You won't regret.

Kaak roti is flour around a hot round stone placed next to charcoals. Hot stone cooks from inside while charcoal heat from outside. Break the bread ball, throw out the stone and this thick bread is ready to eat with its crispy outer crust and soft moist inside.

At the heart of these dishes is harsh resource scarce environment of area where Baloch live. There can't grow herbs, spices and vegetables. These are no delicacies. This is raw nature. Slaughter one of your sheep from the herd, collect dry wood from the desert, use sheep's own fat to cook and there you go!

Kiya aap dum pukht ki baat to nahe kar rahay?

Dam pukht is Pushtoon dish while Sajji is Baloch creation. Both extremely tasty, no doubt.
