Myanmars border security force, Nasaka on Thursday freed 75 Bangladeshi nationals who were in jails on different terms for illegally entering into the neighbouring country, official sources said.
They were handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh after a bilateral flag meeting between BGB and Nasaka at Moungdow, a port of Arakan province of Myanmar.
Lieutenant Colonel Jahid Hossain, Commanding Officer, 42 BGB Battalion Teknaf said an eight-member BGB team led by him attended the meeting. Deputy director of Nasaka and Border Immigration Headquarters, Moungdow led Myanmar side.
Jahid Hossain came back with the Bangladeshi nationals at around 2.15 pm.
