Let agree on some basic facts.
- There were no Han Chinese in 1600s when Dutch and Spanish colonizers showed up at Formosa (aka Taiwan). Formosa was then inhabited by the Austronesian native tribes only.
- A few Han Chinese occupied Formosa during the Colonial period as Imperial China saw strategic importance and wanted to mimic and compete with the Japan, Europe and the US
- Imperial China lost the battle with Imperial Japan in 1895 and lost control of Formosa Japan
- In 1945 after Imperial Japan lost WWII, US forced Imperial Japan to relinquish control on Formosa
- Majority of ROC Han Chinese moved into Formosa to illegally occupy the Formosa Island in 1949
Neither the PRC Han Chinese nor the ROC Han Chinese have any legal claims on Formosa. Both all occupiers and illegally squatting on the Island.
Formosa belongs to the Austronesian native tribes only.
Han Chinese are occupiers and need to leave the Island. PRC should accept ROC Han Chinese into China.
