71% of Indians cannot afford a healthy diet: CSE Report

Rest of the world "I am better then you"

Mean while India-Pakistan
"You are more Shitt**r then me"

😐
I am sorry, but that is how Indian mentality is.
Topic is about improper diet in INDIA.
But as always on this forum, irrelevant comparisons, illogical opinions, unrequired ad hominems/slangs are the obvious and abundant.
Is it so hard, just to discuss the topic.

.
Very depressing read. While my dear friend Brof sb (@RiazHaq ) informs us that Pakistanis are eating much better inspite of all political upheavals we get to hear that Indians cant afford proper diet. Hopefully we can learn something from our neighbours

71% of Indians cannot afford a healthy diet: CSE Report

View attachment 851638
Over 1.7 million Indians die every year due to diseases that can be attributed to dietary risk factors, said a CSE report. (Representative image)

Benefits of having a Trillion Dollar Economy, spending Billions on defence to protect it's citizens, yet nearly Two Million Indians die every year due to lack of decent food.....All hail Modi.

South asian countries have the few common issues that suppose to still deal.

That is old news -2019. As per latest data quoted by Brof sb things have turned around as per nutrition is concerned. Lets hope the imported PDM govt doesnt turn things upside down again

I mentioned about food security... Food security is the most important.

. . . .
They are guzzling sugary and oily foods which leads to diabetes, obesity, and heart disease.

A strange anomaly South Asia has one of the largest number of malnourished people as well as one of the highest number of Obese people in the world

Because they don't consume foods with proper nutrients in them. You can drink nothing but 6 bottles of oil every day and become obese but you will die of heart failure, a stroke or dehydration. Another person who eats a smaller amount of food but in a balanced diet will live a longer life and not be obese.

@JX-1

You have hit bulls eyes. You are just consuming carbs and unhealthy fat- the food is deficient of all nutrients. The deprived body sends a signal that you need to eat more, you respond by consuming more carbs and unhealthy fats. The vicious cycle continues....
