69 Pakistanis arrested in Saudi for terrorism

13 Pakistani suspects among 16 arrested in Saudi Arabia on terror charges

Saudi security forces have arrested 13 Pakistanis and three Saudis suspected of having links to terrorists who blew themselves up during a weekend firefight with police, authorities said on Tuesday.

The Saudi interior ministry also identified the two terrorists who detonated explosive belts during Saturday's raid in the Red Sea city of Jeddah as Saudis Marzouk Anzi and Khaled al-Sourwani had both taken part in previous terrorist attacks in the kingdom, and Sourwani had links with the militant Islamic State (IS) group, the ministry said.

Authorities also seized arms and materials for making explosives from the building where the men blew themselves up, the official Saudi Press Agency said.

In late October, Saudi authorities said they had arrested eight militants and dismantled several “terrorist” cells linked to IS, including one that had planned to attack a major football match in Jeddah.

Those arrested included two Pakistanis, a Syrian and a Sudanese citizen.

Saudi Arabia is a member of a US-led coalition battling IS in Syria and Iraq. The kingdom has witnessed a series of deadly attacks claimed by IS since late 2014, mostly targeting the Shia minority and security forces, killing dozens of people.

69 Pakistanis arrested in Saudi for terrorism

The total number of Pakistanis arrested for involvement in terror activities in Saudi Arabia has gone up to 69, reports Saudi Gazette.

A Pakistani woman, Fatima Ramadan Balochi Murad was arrested along with her Saudi husband from an apartment in Al Naseem district by security agencies after a tip-off.

Last July, a Pakistani terrorist named Abdullah Qalzar Khan blew himself up near Solaiman Fakeih Hospital in Jeddah.

The security authorities arrested 49 Pakistani residents and put them under interrogation since the bombing in July, the report adds.

Interior Ministry of Saudi Arabia also foiled two terror plots in Jeddah last October. It foiled one plan targeting police officers and another one to detonate a car loaded with explosives near the Al Jawhara Football Stadium in Jeddah. It involved two Pakistanis - Solaiman Arab Deen and Farman Naqshaband Khan.

A recent statement issued by the Interior Ministry through its Tawasul (communications) portal said that 5,085 terror suspects from 40 countries are in detention in five intelligence prisons in the Kingdom.

The statement said that there are 4,254 Saudis detained in intelligence prisons constituting the largest number of suspects. The Saudis are followed by 282 Yemenis and 218 Syrians. There are three suspects from the US and one each from France, Belgium and Canada.

Pakistan should focus more on the reverse brain drain :D

Pakistanis arrested in Saudia for terrorism!!!!!

What a joke !!!!

Not a joke. Its possible, but main concern is that they are getting radicalized in Saudi Arabia by the saudis themselves and then are being used as foot soldiers for attacks and bringing bad name to us.

I have seen a few Pakistanis who when return from Saudi Arabia become much more radical and are harsher when Islam is discussed as they get influenced by the Wahabisim branch of Islam.

There have been no proofs of it buddy.

Unless you take West or Pakistani libtards seriously.

There is a long history of Saudi support for LeJ.

Malik Ishaq went to Saudi Arabia straight after his release from Jail.

This is all documented.

Again I would like to point out though this may have been in response to Iranian forays into Pakistan after the revolution there.

But the damage caused by Saudi proxies and that particular mindset is many times more than that caused by Iranian proxies.

This is not an opinion but a fact.

How is his visit to Saudi Arabia a proof that KSA is sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan?

Seriously?

Which Saudi proxies are you speaking of? can you name any? got any evidences?

This is how terrorists deserve to be treated. But I think and according to the west the Saudi legal system is not known to be fair. But if these were terrorists it is far better they be punished by the Saudi authorities. We don't need people like Muslim Khan and Abdullah Mehsud going to Pakistan from foreign countries and causing havoc. Infact these two were released by the USA and look what they did when they returned. Its clear why even secularists like me do not trust traitorous allies like the USA.

I have distrust of wahabis too but most Saudis are literate and away from such terroristic thinking. Saudi and Turkey are places that are newly suffering terrorism and Pakistan must offer these brothers complete support. Terrorism remains a common threat, not to the Sauds as such but common citizens killed in heartless terrorist bombings.

I agree with this. LeJ cadres and leaders themselves have admitted to Saudi support. Perhaps Saudi is unaware or complicit. Regardless any movement that weakens already frail sunni shia ties should be broken. Its unfortunate that Saudi and Iran can't get along and have to pull us and our territory into their dirty game. Iran has not supported more violent shia extremists though. I am not a shia but according to terrorist attacks done by wahabis and my own view Shias have not taken part in senseless suicide bombing or wanton killing. Maybe we can learn from them.

As for Sipah E Muhammad it has only attacked LeJ and ASWJ cadres which is perfectly justified in my view. Atleast they aren't attacking common sunnis.

Are you this blind???

A man jailed for the murder of a 100 Pakistanis gets a visa just one week after his release.

One week for a man jailed for killing a 100 people..... Normally a petty thief who would have spent three weeks in jail wouldn't be let anywhere close to Saudi Arabia.

ASWJ/LeJ and their affiliated madressahs all get funding from Saudi.

If you are really interested and have an open mind.....just go through this to get a complete picture.

From the article

"After a meal of chicken, curry and spinach, Ludhianvi and his aides stood up to warmly welcome a visitor: Saudi Arabia-based cleric Malik Abdul Haq al-Meqqi.

A Pakistani cleric knowledgeable about Sunni groups described Meqqi as a middleman between Saudi donors and intelligence agencies and the LeJ, the SSP and other groups.

"Of course, Saudi Arabia supports these groups. They want to keep Iranian influence in check in Pakistan, so they pay," the Pakistani cleric said. His account squared with that of a Pakistani intelligence agent, who said jailed militants had confessed that LeJ received Saudi funding."

Most of Afghan in Saudi Arabia have pakistani passport.

I am more concerned that they were released from Jails.

I short time for a visa cannot qualify KSA's support of terrorism.

Dont tell me that you are one of those who believe that Madarasas are training terrorists, because if you think that, then I am not going to waste my efforts discussing this with you.

That's what most people have as an evidence.

REPORTS FROM WESTERN MEDIA.

Do we need to discuss how they hide the fact that ISIS is funded and supported by US?
Or that they hide the fact that 9-11 was an inside attack?
Or Turkish Coup was a CIA attempt?
List is long buddy :)
