India-China News LIVE Updates: As many as 68 per cent of people, who participated in a survey, believe that China poses a bigger problem to India than Pakistan, and 72.6 per cent of the respondents expressed trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership on the issue of national security.

Thirty-two per cent of those surveyed by ABP-CVoter believe that Pakistan, considered an arch enemy of India, is a more serious concern, according to a statement. The survey comes against the backdrop of the continuing border tensions with China, with 20 Indian soldiers, including a colonel, killed in a clash with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley in Ladakh last week.

To a question if the Indian government has taken concrete steps to give China a befitting reply, over 60 per cent of those surveyed answered in negative, while only 39 per cent said it has done so.

I think this fairly reflects Indian public opinion: disillusionment with China and disappointment with the Indian government. This resets the clock to 1962; for the next fifty years, no open and trusting relationship is to be expected, outside the seeking of fulfilment of basic needs through formal rather than friendly communications. This has also hurt the Modi Government, who are seen to be stupid and mendacious, and to have used a flamboyant approach to neighbouring relations as an election ploy. This last is not seen as being practical politics.

I think that assumes an involuntary knee jerk by the Indian Army. However, in 1971, the IA took five months to put in place a proper execution plan, and it worked.

Pun aside, this is a nightmare scenario for bakhts/RSS. All their politics are based on the Hate of Pakistan, The Demon they created for their Public was Pakistan. A perfect Enemy that can be manageable, can be twisted on election nights, do fake surgical strikes as well for average public on the streets.

Once, China took place the position of Pakistan realistically its very difficult to show 56 Inch chest to China now. No bluff can save Mr. Modi but actions on the grounds and that is extremely difficult.
