What can the west achieve by creating this list? The people living in these countries are living their lives in their countries like everyone else in the world. They also go to work, support their children, sent their children to school, support their families, make money like everyone else.


None of these countries wil look at this list created by the west and then shut their country down

Lets not get into a bashing game here. There are problems with both India and Pakistan and the whole South Asian region.

The term "Failed State" definition includes various factors such as social system, stable legal authority, global participation/influence, internal security, stability of the govt, economic factors and likewise. While some factors may offset the scores of others when taken into cumulative account, the point is that there is enough room for improvement.

Even I was surprised to see Israel as a failed state, but the fact of the matter is that inspite of having the economic and military might, it has failed to give equal rights to all its citizens. There is wide economic disparity and discrimination inside Israel between the Jews and Arabs.
