According to the ISPR, the new postings and appointments are listed below:

Lt Gen Muhammad Abdul Aziz as Corps Commander Lahore

Lt Gen Muhammad Waseem Ashraf as Corps Commander Multan

Lt Gen Nadeem Ahmed Anjum as Corps Commander Karachi

Lt Gen Khalid Zia as Corps Commander Bahawalpur

Lt Gen Sarfraz Ali as Commander Southern Command

Lt Gen Muhammad Ali as Commander ASFC.

Lt Gen Majid Ehsan as Inspector General Arms

Lt Gen Syed Muhammad Adnan as Inspector General Training and Evaluation

Lt Gen Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat as Military Secretary

Lt Gen Asif Ghafoor as Inspector General Communication and Information Technology.

Great news i have no doubt who ever is promoted he will work for Pakistan and Islam even if its Asif chachu.

Well, "popular", i guess should have been the right word. As far as the institution is concerned the Chief will always gain the respect and authority.

And that popularity too has been gained through his routine public appearances that were a part of his job as DG ISPR. A job well done.

This happens when you are a public figure and have got lots of media coverage. That is a dilemma of our societies around the world that mostly it's the media which decides your popularity and establishes your repute/ stature.

See from the posts above; we have not much yet to discuss about the 05 rest of the MGs that have been promoted. Probably because they have not burdened the public domain as much by their frequent appearances through media.

Fun fact: After Hitler's demise Goebbels too became the chancellor of Germany for a day. :D
