I'm sure BD wouldn't have been able to defeat PA without Indian active participation(not without Indian weapons though), but it would've probably cost them another few million lives and decades of guerrilla wars and total extinction of hindu population(although which is a good thing in jamati pov). After all Yahya and Tikka Khan were commanding PA.

Remember Viets had jungles and clogged low lands, Afghans have mountainous terrain, both perfect for irregular warfare. South Bengal is just a huge farmland, a scorched earth technique would make irregulars to run like hell with no place to hide.

Ok, won't insult that. But you must understand the difference that both Vietnam and Taliban were/are fighting a power that came from the other side of the ocean, and exhausted them completely through a prolonged war. India can move it's entire army if need be, you guys are next doors. I'm not underestimating the resolve of a country, I'm just stating facts. India won't face the logistical issues that USA did/does.
