If Indian Govt is playing cheap...then how come the investors are still here ?? .unless they are making money and seeing potential growth why the heck are they still here??

For the real middle class. The Indians which can pay rent, food, gas, etc, and still have a little money left. That is the definition of middle class.

Did you know that Sri Lanka is growing at 8.2%, Bangladesh is growing at 6.7%, and Bhutan is growing at 8.4%?

Forget being the "2nd fastest growing economy in the world", India is not even the 2nd fastest growing economy in South Asia, in percentage terms.

But to apply you own logic, these countries are are microscopic when compared to India. So even while growing at a slower pace, India adds more value than these countries put together.

First! define what one mean by economic power.

Will India be considered an economic power, when her GDP is 10% of world's GDP?

If India wishes to be a an nation with near 10% of world's GDP, India will have to improve upon HDI to improve human capital resources India has.

Economic reforms are just temporary effects for say 1 or 2 decades, if India's growth should be sustainable for a 5 decades, Human capital is the only answer

First of all have a proper census of Pakistan. The last one you had was way back in 1998. So whatever statistics coming out Pakistan is a guesstimate at best.

The arguments that the oppositions put forward here are born out of plain stupidy. The countries that are on the top 5 stays top only because of the manufacturing output. It's only a matter of time, till that happens, whether you like it or not. So you cant write off a major contentor here, unless you should be absolute sure that truth, god and time is on your behalf, however big you are. Census is not about finding out the population but finding out of about a variety of things including the social indicators.
