Kalahari sheep is excellent as is from Kimberley and beats NZ hands down - we get it here - it is considered 2nd grade.

That's no brainer sir , Cow, buffalo, goat, bull, deer, moos etc are halal but their meat is only halal if it is slaughtered the Islamic way or at least jewish way (kosher). I'm not sure about Japanese beef being processed that way especially this delicacy. However it is possible that Muslims in Japan slaughter it in Islamic way.

They should be raised in a halal way as well, meaning no pumping of hormones injections and possible exponential growths or whatever, that is a written invitations to Cancer and Tumors.

eating out here is inexpensive. 500gm steak will cost around $12 with full meal. Great fish and chips - $3 for a single person - this is big sized hake, chips and coleslaw

The joys of free open access. They started to dump their stock here and it is available but it is like you said too high in fat and the smell puts people off. Primarily here, we dont eat lamb - it is considered wrong; sheep is the main usage. It is 30% cheaper but no quality.
You must remember South africa has a huge cattle business but we have lost quality and gone feedlots way for beef. However sheep remains the normal way.

For my sake---I disagree with that---. It is consumable because it is slaughtered for human consumption---the neck is cut and the blood drained---say a prayer and consume it---.

Technically the meat stays as halal---the differentiation is of it being Zabiha---. The islamic process of cutting the throat and recitation makes it Zabiha---the identity of it being Halal stays the same.

Now---the question to the daring is---if a pig is slaughtered in the islamic way---ie---Zabiha---would it become halal?
