5 injured in clashes after woman throws stone at a cow

I heard that in India, if you accidentally run a human over with your car, you can wait there and call the police. But if you accidentally kill a cow with a car, you'd better drive off quickly before the mob tries to lynch you.

Your info is correct.

India is like a bubble waiting to burst. The conflict between Indian Muslims and nationalist hardcore Hindus was long overdue. Expect things to heat up in the coming year.

.
Now we know where your Bull $hit comes from

Looks like the act of mob violence has taught you the value of ahimsa and saved the bull from senseless voilence. So its clear that such tactics work.
you joined "yesterday" and u know all about me :woot:
and ppl like you should be mobbed first to teach the idea of "cleaning $hit".
btw, plants don't cry so its ok to "kill" them, while useless bull are avatars of god, huh ?

No Hindu Rashtra. This is a democratic secular country with 25 carore or more minorities. Leave that dream.
its not about minorities, its about the idea on which our nation is built upon : inclusiveness , not exclusiveness that the rightists want.

A Hindu rashtra will always be a democratic secular country :disagree: ...... that is Hinduism 101.

Read up on the Janapadas.

Nope, we don't eat "plants"

We eat fruits, vegetables that plants offer in a symbiotic model. We eat leaves like palak and Methi.

Which is why orthodox hindus do not eat roots (potato, garlic etc.), stem etc of plants which will "kill" the plant.

Also , milch animals are contributing members of Hindu society so they are to be protected by the laws of that society and have the same rights as the human citizens of that society.

LOL at your understanding of hinduism.

If you know nothing of Hinduism, then why do you bother to comment on it ? :cheesy:

Cows in India was not fed cut hay you moron. They were allowed to roam around in the pasture and they were brought back home in the evening.

Land in Hindu India was reserved for pasture and belonged to the community.

Land ownership become private only when the invasion of India started. Before that , all land belonged to the state or to the community.

Again LOL at your ignorance of your own history and social values.

calling a person names makes you a very good hindu, right?
regarding cows being allowed to roam, BC, no they aren't. they are tied to places where there is grass. if you ever went to a village you would know. and even if ur non fact was true, I don't live in a village pasture so why should I even tolerate anybody hurting my property, even if its a frigging cow, or sheep or camel or a bloody rat.

this is NOT hindu india. go check the present facts before harping on what happened centuries before.

ghanta.
all land belonged to the king/ruler. no state or community as you said. land was allotted to an individual then. keep your shyte to urself.
Again LOL at your ignorance of your own history and social values.
.....and you are a history professor. so why quote me. go find a proff like urself and stop bothering me.

Oh yes you did, and now you have my reply.

There is nothing in hinduism that prevents me from calling a fool a fool.

Of course cows were let to roam about to feed themselves, its only after the invaders converted land into "Private" land the rights of the cows were snatched from them and Hindus were forced to keep them in cow sheds to feed them.

Like I said, in Hindu India, all land was state land and community land. People only had the right to cultivate them and earn the profit. The rest of the land was community land.

India is a Hindu rasthra and that is why the govt. of India interferes in running of temple administration , while it does no such thing for church and mosques.

LOL......WRONG. Best you get and education, start with the Arthashastra.

This is pure nonsense ............... don't get offended ............... but cows or any animal cannot be treated same like humans (meaning if you are giving them the equal rights, then they should also be subjected to laws made for humans), the reason you know why? .......... Because I don't expect a cow or a bull to stop at a red light.

There is a difference between human rights and human laws.

A man may have the right to walk naked, but the law does not permit it.

A human may have the right to eat other humans, but the law does not permit it.

In Hindu society, a Cow has Right to protection, but the law would not permit them to walk on the roads unsupervised, the same way the law does not permit a Child to drive a car.

Then how can you demand same rights for cows when they need humans to supervise them? Do you see you accepted yourself that humans are superior than cows? Cows are born to serve humans, some provide milk others beef that is how it is.

Why cows are so special and buffaloes not?

Imagine if someday a society declares that carrots are to be respected the same way humans are respected, how would it sound ............ obviously stupid.

.
the woman and her husband should have got killed happily at the head of the cow and earn swurg.

Children need Adult supervision too, does that mean they have No Rights :cheesy:

Humans are intellectually superior to cows, not morally or ethically superior. Ethically and morally cows are more superior since they give more than they take from society.

All Milch animals have the same right. Including buffaloes.

We do not believe in the institution of "slavery" and that some are born to "serve" others unlike some other religion. So there is no point trying to convince us otherwise.

Like I said, orthodox Hindus do not eat carrot because they are the root of a plant and once uprooted, the plant dies.

So yes, even a Carrot is Respected and we do not find it "stupid".
