50m are not Olympic events so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Ning's first 50m is not his best, his second 50m is where he gets ahead of the rivals. He has a good turn and has a strong finish.

I'm more disappointed with Sun Yang quitting the 1,500m. Sun didn't even help the relay team. That's just poor.

It was the ignorance of one Chinese wasabi's unfair criticism on the Kazan Chinese aquatic team that irks me
I may have more to comment on this when the materials are available

Regarding Sun, he is reported to be on medications for heart problems earlier
He was taking on 200m, 400m and 800m and if he was a bit more lucky he would have gotten 3 gold medals
It would be gracious to allow him taking a break on 1,500m, let alone the relays because if you can count the preliminaries, and semi finals and finals, there is a lot of meters to swim for

He is only human. Health is paramount
