The industry is expected to reach $65 bn by 2024 and to $120 bn by 2030
The pharmaceutical industry is currently valued at $41 bn.
Generic drugs, with 71% market share, form the largest segment of the Pharmaceutical industry in India. This is set to grow as exports of generics to the US rise, as branded drugs worth $55 bn will become off-patent during 2017-2019. In the domestic market by revenue, Anti-Infectives (13.6%), Cardiac (12.4%) and Gastrointestinal (11.5%) had the biggest market share.

Good for pakistan but just get a reality check.

Bharti word puzzle as usual.

The Pharma industry in India may PRODUCE $41 bn (including for local consumption which is huge). But it exports a lot less - around $17 bn or so.

The exports to Africa and South America are mostly suspected to be fake placebo products, as those countries do not have a good way to check for efficacy. Nice going and very honorable way to make money Indians.

India is the fake drug capital of the world, dhokeybaaji central. Now during covid it's coming back to bite them.

I will leave the IT BPM export topic for later, will go break my fast now.

Since a Bangladeshi will reach a meager 6 billion market that too in 2025 ,I should take the words from a nobody in pharma seriously ?

"India’s pharmaceutical exports grew 18.7% to $24.44 billion in the financial year ended March 31, spurred by strong demand for the country’s generic drugs.

The industry posted its best export performance in value terms despite the global pharma market shrinking by 1-2% in 2020. This was due to a surge in demand for made-in-India generics, owing to their quality and affordability, said Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) Director General Ravi Udaya Bhaskar."

Read to educate yourself.

Again wrong,
North America is the largest exporting region for India with more than 34 per cent share. Country wise exports to USA, Canada and Mexico recorded growth of 12.6 per cent, 30 per cent and 21.4 per cent respectively

India is the fake drug capital of the world, dhokeybaaji central. Now during covid it's coming back to bite them.

It's like talking to a chimp, we export to the world, they buy it because it clears international regulation which in medicines is extremely regulated & tight.

If we the pharmacy of the world are struggling with the production ,what will you a rag tag nation with no pharma industry worth mentioning will do,worry about that.

Doesn't matter. It really does not help the poor

What helps your poor? Bijli ka khamba? Paved street?
Get out of your stupidity infested mindset.

These things bring work and money to the country, which helps uplift the poor in the long run. How do you wish to help the poor if not by increasing exports and improving money inflow?

The reality is that this will only grow if Pakistani companies and individuals working in this sector work with integrity and honesty. I have seen far too often in the UK when work is outsourced to Pakistan it is outstanding for the first few orders etc and then the lack of QA or just utter selfishness on the part of Pakistani companies and individuals destroys their reputations. In fact the effect is not just on them but other Pakistani companies as well suffer due to some bad eggs.

Short term thinking needs to be changed to long term thinking and client retention - Pakistani companies are very lacking in both.

The same can be said about some companies anywhere else. This problem can only be tackled by adding competition. The more people are doing it, the more competition there will be and the more focus on client relations for the long term.

Being a person who has outsourced work to different individuals and teams from different parts of the world. One clear difference I have noticed is the submissiveness of workers from India, Bangladesh, and Philippines.
Even if they are not very competitive, they are submissive and willing to get things done as asked.
Pakistanis on the other end tend to be less submissive and more lacking on professionalism quite often.
One problem is the culture, and the other is exposure.

I suppose both will get fixed as they are slowly exposed to more and more international clients.

It's not called a reality check.
It's called an egoistic *** burning move jfyi.

Here is a reality check.

" Two-thirds of people in India live in poverty: 68.8% of the Indian population lives on less than $2 a day. Over 30% even have less than $1.25 per day available - they are considered extremely poor. This makes India one of the poorest countries in the world; women and children, the weakest members of Indian society, suffer most. "

So tell me when those figures and the so called reality check has helped improve the life of ~70% poor population of yours who are still living on less than $2 a day.

Since you brought in your bullshit numbers that amount to nothing on ground for your population. The current ongoing crisis in your country is a "reality check", most of your bollywood schooled indians fail to see.

.
.

Since your country don't have an industry worth talking about so it's not idiotic of you to sound so dumb.

Industries like these lift lakhs of people along with them & lakhs of family's living standards are raised along and poverty reduces.

I don't frown your madrassa education but atleast try googling things other than the usual bs.

The ongoing crisis is also getting tackled by the manufacturing power of the pharmacy of the world that is the Indian pharmaceuticals.

The actual reality check will be when the mutant variant enter other countries like pakistan, then we will see who can match our pharma capabilities.

Only a small brain indian can come up with this kind of a response vs pure facts.
Why has the Super Dooper power indian industry failed to upflit 70% of your population from living off of $2 a day?
People like you can only get butt hurt when you see something positive about Pakistan which conflicts with your delusional Bollywood educated reality.
Is it just that or are you also among those who carry other insecurities like how you look and dress being a typical Indian?

Don't worry about my education and Industries in my country. I do not live in a country which claims billions of exports and still carries weight of ~70% living on less than $2. People like you should go and die in shame when trying to talk about your achievements when it has zero reflection among the masses of your country and an average Indian continues to live and die a life more cheaper than that of a bug.

Now piss off of this thread if you are here to drop your India this and that shit instead of having anything to contribute relating to the topic.
The title did not say you can come in and spray your butt hurting juice, did it?
