Something smells very fishy here...sounds like a honorable discharge

There is Rumour that Lt. Gen. Nasser Janjua might take over as RECTOR NUST UNIVERSITY after his retirement from the Pak Army. If so, it will be great to see an excellent administrator take over this Fine Engineering University of Pakistan.

The previous Rector did a fabulous Job as an Academic and served NUST for two terms ( 8 years ).

That would be great. As a student in NDU i can say he did a wonderful job as an administrator. Also a very nice person individually.

Agreed. The man enjoys an excellent Repo.

He also did a Phenomenal job in Quetta as Corp Commander, under some very adverse circumstances.

Let see who will Replace Lt. Gen Naser as Corp. Commander Quetta as this will be a quite tough choice for General Raheel.

Good Question....

" Big shoes to fill " for the new guy. Let us keep the fingers crossed.

Sir, all four have reached their retirement age as per Army Regulations.

Nothing Fishy here....

If some general is retiring say in December and Raheel retires in November, then the general can remain in service for 3 years if he becomes COAS?

Also if there are 5 LT gen to choose COAS from, Does it go by who is eldest (seniority)? So if oldest general doesn't become COAS, he can resign or stay as lt general and work under a younger lt general?
