You mean indians are Awami League "bro"? Well that much has already been established. And being a fire hazard and known accecident potential "there is nothing wrong in buying your(indian) products"? There is nothing wrong buying things from india with inflated price? There is nothing wrong Bangladeshi tax payers pay higher interest and price for low quality and down right hazardious indian product? I bet there is nothing wrong in TATA-Awami League looting scheme either?

Even after tax, Indian auto products are cheaper than their Japanese counterparts. Chinese ones are pretty crap in quality to be honest.

The Korean ones are good, but expensive. But still, not as good as a Japanese ones.

Indian cars run fine as long as you take care of them. Those battered taxi Maruti cabs are the ones that were rejected from India, and brought here. Yeah, that happened during your precious BNP administration. Not to mention those but-ugly CNG three-wheelers :lol:

It will be Indian Imports finally.
No one can offer average quality, cost effective & reliable vehicles than Indian companies. If BD govt. officials are sane enough the deal will surely come to India.
Also BD got financial aid cum debt from Indian Govt. recently improving our ties now they planning to buy busses.I am sure Our Money will come back to us soon.

@ Bangla friends,Dont hate Indian product just because they are Indian. You guys must feel lucky that our regional conditions & climates are almost same. so vehicle tested on indian roads & in indian conditions are going to be best for you. Also TATA is not a any other brand company like many most chinese companies. Its Tata Motors was ranked #359 globally in Fortune Global 500 list in 2011 also ranks 18th largest vehicle producer in world. Also it has collabration with Daimler-Benz, it acquired Spanish bus and coach manufacturer Hispano Carrocera, joint venture with world class bus company Marcopolo with low-floor buses in the Indian Market under the name Tata Marcopolo Bus, recently it it has acquired British Jaguar Land Rover includes the Daimler and Lanchester brand under it.

You can never get better quality products from any other country to suit your regional constraints than TATA & Ashok Leyland.
Its just a info who dont know much abt TATA , otherwise who cares what crap you buy & which vehicle transport your junk.

Nothing wrong with Indian buses, plus they are cheap and suited to the roads of the sub continent.

Delhi has about 6000-7000 of these new Tata and Ashok Leyland buses. Looks as good as any other European or Korean buses.

Tata Marcopolos are pretty good, although volvo looks better but costs 10 times more.

^What about Bharat Benz?

Bharat Benz is still new in the market, but since its a Benz it must in the same price range as a Volvo. Not to forget their parts will probably cost a bomb too.

They all look the same though.

The Bharat Benz brand name is just for trucks though, buses still sell as Mercedez.

Tata may lose contract for BRTS buses

AHMEDABAD: The future of the Tata buses in AMTS and BRTS fleet that were to hit Ahmedabad streets by October last year hangs by a thread. In at least two meeting held by the Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited (AJL) over the last few months, the AJL board has proposed to reject the order of 94 odd new JNNURM buses for frequent complaints of oil leakage, air compressor leakage, brake problems, rusting body parts and frequent breakdowns of existing operational buses.

The board has even floated a proposal for imposition of a fine of Rs 12,500 per bus on the company. The decision on how to go ahead with the company would be taken within a fortnight.

Tata Motors will easily break into Top 10 Automobile Companies by Revenue till 2015. Infact Targeting Revenue of $100 Billion.

Also Tata Motors is the Second Largest Manufacturer of Buses in the World.

Only Tata of India or Hino of Japan should be considered in Dhaka street if it were BRTC. We tried with other big name buses but the major problems are spare parts. We had to early retire those buses due to unavailability of spare parts as those big name buses have no local agent neither they have any market share in private sectors.
