3D prototype of Turkey’s indigenous car unveiled

Classic arab mindset: “if others cant do it, how can i do it? If others are already doing it, why should i bother? Let them keep doing it.”
Someone's seems a bit trolled. Think about it economically moreso than national pride. There are many big nations without huge car manufacturing and even with national cars international cars outperform their sales.

If you allow China to flood Turkish market with cheap Chinese car brands. Than its over for your prestige car project.

Btw, where is the car (picture)?

Erdoğan personally thinks that a big country should produce its own tanks, weapons, planes, copters, ..., ..., ... and cars. That's why he pushes on it too hard since Turkey one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world. It's kinda weird not to have to own car brand.
Erbakan Hoca (read Hoja) started it in the 60s only to be closed down!!! Turkey started the aircraft manufacturing (with export successes) in the 30s only to be trampled down!! All are left for the present “interesting” time to finish....

Tesla is a new brand in this crowded segment I bet you would have said the same thing if you were not trolling..

We are 80 million ppl in turkey there is and should be a place for our own car

But more we should focus on marketing and selling and on our Agrar products Netherland is small but effective we lack the effectiveness and logistics for example we can produce qiona but who could sell it there are places in turkey wich have extremely good conditions for that but no one is responsible and has the logistical capability to provide the farmers that means farmers could produce this or that but they cannot sell it for their own

This also counts for our ppl who you see sometimes on news or gazette they build something great but it does not go further because of no responsibility and lacking management
And, don’t forget the 1.5b Muslim world!! Don’t get disheartened seeing the proxy zombie traitors in power!! The common folks’ love for Turkey is unrestricted!! Just channel some of it to buy the quality products from Turkey...

Other options are much cheaper like China. If you can get production and costs down to China's level it will sell well no doubt.

@Philip the Arab has a point.

You need mass production facilities. And of course a huge domestic demand for Turkish cars. We all know Turks, they prefer foreign products over domestic ones. Because Turks produce low quality merchandise for domestic markets.

Previously el cheapo Cherry brand had been entered to the market with sooo cheap prices with good entrance. By the time it resulted in disaster. The cheap china has a very bad image now which will be very very expensive for them to correct bad image

Per capita isn't high in Turkey... How will people afford indigenous cars that can't be produced in same numbers as established companies like Toyota, and Chinese car manufacturers.
