Every party in Karachi had a militant wing be it PPP, JI, or MQM. A lot of gang members were arrested or encountered at Pak-Iran border. Uzair Baloch for example had Iran connections. State doesn't openly talk about it because they don't want a sectarian conflict.

Do you mean the US? I don't see any benefit for the states to mess with Pakistan after the Afghan exit. It is more likely that the US would like to have a stable Pakistan that can protect its nuclear arsenal from extremists who would want to target the West.

Other posters have pointed to Iran and sectarianism. Even in that case, I don't see a strategic aim in these random attacks.

With Gwadar, Iranian Chabahar port kinda becomes unimportant. Central Asian nations can save time through Gwadar. Therefore, destabilizing Balochistan maybe in their interest. As for Americans, I'm not sure what their strategy is going forward regarding Central Asia.

Checkout a video of Pakistan FC in heating debate with Iranian border guards. FC clearly pointing that guys are hiding on your side and you ain't doing anything. QUETTA (Dunya News) – In an operation in Turbat area of Quetta, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested three accused including an alleged suicide bomber.

According to the details garnered, the CTD saved Balochistan from the catastrophe while arresting three accused, including an alleged terrorist who was planning a sabotage operation.

According to CTD spokesman, arms and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the accused.

The spokesman further said that the accused were involved in facilitating a suicide attack on a Chinese convoy in Gwadar this month while the preliminary investigation revealed that the mastermind of these incidents was present in the neighboring country.
