3 die, 8 injured as Azadi March’s convoy faces accident

Are they the speedo busses I saw??
I've forsaken my car for daily transport to my office. I travel by a bus booking startup. No stress and I feel fresh every morning and when I go back.

I dont like Nawaz. But good public transport is need of the hour for Lahore at least(I have knowledge of situation in Lahore other cities might too). No matter how much PTI jiyalas hate orange line. It is a good step. And should be replicated across Pakistan. Even the old trams should be revived in Karachi. They could also take form of new modern trams found in european cities.

There should be public service messages that tell people the impact public transport has on reducing environmental pollution and traffic congestion. Along with considering using bicycles instead of motor vehicles.

Oh the motorcycles. Everyone with their little cd70 and 125 drives like they are demonstarting their skills in the mout ka kuwan

The problem with Orange line doesn't lie with the project itself but in its execution. Any neutral person who isn't an engineer and assesses the construction quality can attest to the fact that the whole project is a disaster waiting to happen. Save roads where it was inevitable; the line should have run parallel to existing road infrastructure. I always give the example of Sheffield's Tram service; as I have lived there for quite some time. They use existing roads.

In PMLN's infinite wisdom they decided to elevate the tracks thinking they're frigging Dubai. I understand it as being something about our people being less civilized but it is a damn waste of money. The did the same damn thing with the Lahore Metro. Why did you need caged roads for the buses? If every problem in this country is elevated tracks then sorry our IQ level is not even 10. Even KPK thought to one up Pujab and decided to make dedicated tracks for these. Then the same problems of construction quality are still there. Faida kee hai?

Speedo is run by the gov. There are 2 new bus startups (app based) run by private companies.
