In China, many older men pension is not high, there is nothing with whether soldier or not, OK? don't think too much,
In the pension system is not perfect, just be bulit a few years, and different, in front of fast increase of live cost, that's very little.

The official figure of the lost PLA soldiers was around 8531（阵亡7814人伤员两万1千多人 失踪717人）in the 1979 border war. The casualty was extremely high in the first two days alone the Guangxi front commanded by Gen. Xu Shiyou. The government offered one time compensation of a few hundred Yuan to each of the sacrificed soldier then. Their direct relatives also receive monthly support from the local government.
