Sahab, always love your out of the box thinking. What if I say, PAF anticipated what you are saying and they made a calculated response without giving much hint what they actually can do in case of a full blown air warfare? What we saw from PAF's pov is their intent was never to intesify the escalation beyond a measured value. And I must say, if true it was a quite costly test run if you take the loss of one Mig 21 and one MI 17 into account.

The indians got their answers loud and clear---Paf does not have the ballz to take out what was offered on a platter---.

Because it was not the decision of PAF rather the Pak state i.e. your military and civil leaderships. PAF has not been allowed to speak officially about it. Everything was presented by DG ISPR: a major general of Pak army. and he very clearly stated that it was decided that we will lock the targets and demonstrate the capability but not engage the targets. So PAF did exceptionally well within the constraints it was operating in.
BTW, who released the captured pilot? PAF or your state collectively?

I think it’s the other way round though!! IAF got the chance of their lifetime on 02-26 for the PAF was caught surprised!! They should have done a 02-27 on Pak...

Same thing i have mentioned in my earlier post about Feb 27...Pakistan shown its weakness by releasing Indian captain within 48 hours...Pakistan should have continued its agression on Feb where it has diplomatic advantage..
