257th Corps Commander Conference

Looks like half the show some empty seats may be that other commanders thought the the movie was boring..

To me it looked like the army decided after General Musharaff that we needed to move forward and not have coups etc in Pakistan because it leads to destability and military rule is not the future, it brings hatred towards the army. Then we had elections and PPP came to power for 5 years, and for the first time we had another elections and Pmln completed full 5 years. This took Pakistan another step towards stability, and we successfully had another elections and Pti came to power but then 1.5 years before elections they were removed from government but Pmln overtook so elections are still scheduled for October.

During these 15 years, PMs were removed but the government still stayed in power and during IK removal the opposition just overtook the government rather than new elections.

The question is what can the opposition do if the ruling coalition or PM looses the majority in the parliament? If we say new elections then political parties will start to buy MNAs after a few years and then new elections will keep taking place all the time.

Would it not be better for Pakistan to make a law so no MNAs can change parties and if they are not happy then resign and hold new elections on their seats, if they win and join a different party then yes remove the PM. The government can also win that seat back and keep their PM/government in power.

This will make all political parties and game players know their place that elections will take place after 5 years and so they stop their game playing, the foreign investors will also feel confident. Haven't we all had enough of these dirty politics in Pakistan and propaganda 24 7.

Well this Group of Hyenas can talk whatever nonsense they want to but Pakistan people know that these Hyenas are only there to keep them enslave like animals, loot this country's resources, kill people in broad day light, kidnap and rape people. Yes we are not dreaming and this not Palestine or Occupied Kashmir - it is Pakistan and its people being BRUTALIZE AND KILLED BY ITS OWN ARMY OF VICIOUS HYENEAS. We have been in this nightmare since 1947 with NO END IN SIGHT !

Meeting concluding statement

"It is OUR Pakistan".
Sums up the duffers… country will never progress unless the military is put in their place.. military (army) budget needs to be slashed, and all army officer perks withdrawn.. same goes for all civil servants and judges.. pension should be only benefit they get. Everything else same as civilians..

.
True, the military needs to be cut to size. There is no other way. Pakistan can be a strong a country with a defanged establishment and its military cut to size.

Slashing of military budget by 30%, accountability of the Generals and Chief reporting to Defense Secretary will be a good start.

And no more foreign civilian ministers meeting any military officers. Strict protocol like India, foreign ministers should meet their local counterparts and not army/AF officers…
Likewise foreign ambassadors no separate meeting with military officers. If seen sackable offense for violating protocol. Only military attaché to meet local military staff.

Problem is you can only enforce the above if you have educated ministers who are competent and able to understand the functions of the ministries they are appointed to.
Competent and able Civilians are much more capable in thinking out of the box than military, especially ours.

An astute defence minister is as if not more competent than a military person, and should be able to make the necessary decisions without a cumbersome chain of command below him as long as he is presented with the correct /complete facts to make a policy decision..
