200 Year Old Temples Destroyed So That Jaipur Can Have Its Metro

But a temple being replaced on army/cantonment board in RWP... Indians on PDF and our civil society went ape shit.

No It is not the case. One Rammed pir temple was destroyed illegally and the local authority people said that Temple never existed. We have haighy different track record of protecting the minority shrines and minorities.

Take em down boys! Too many temples and masjids in India. At least 90% of them need to go.

At least those build between the roads to block the traffic.

Rajasthan is BJP state and very pro business after Gujarat as you can see tata nano shifted from west Bengal to rajasthan.

If there is no route then shift the temple , people > God

Lmao.. When did that happen? When the case itself is in court ? How could they not destroy a temple and say it never existed lmao?

The temple is still there built illegally on garrison land...

As for highly different track ? Lmao.. Alaka don't even go there..

Let me rephrase in terms of efficiency & cost effectiveness it's the 2nf best the country
Currently its just start their service then how can you rate their effectiveness ?
Wait for 1 or 2 year to rate them.

.
Exactly after Delhi Metro this is the 2nd best metro in India

Actually it's the most technologically advanced and energy efficient metro system in India let alone the Delhi metro - the other one which will be at par with it would be the Hyderabad Metro which will be thrown open to public very soon.

Reconstruct temple somewhere else. Had a mosque been destroyed, Our first citizen minorities would have cried a lot and given a certificate of Muslim hater and hitler to Modi (their punching bag).

Neither a mosque nor a temple should be destroyed. Why should progress come at the cost of losing heritage?

The official said before the temple structures were razed, idols were safely kept in Tanwar ji Ka Nohra at Natani ji Ka Rasta. Also, assurance to shift these temples in old Aatish Market has been given by the district administration."

According to Jaipur Metro sources, the JMRC will shift 13 temples from the Walled City area falling on the corridor. So far, only 6 priests have agreed, while remaining still has not signed the consent letter.

Neither a mosque nor a temple should be destroyed. Why should progress come at the cost of losing heritage?

The centre government has decided to shift one of the monuments to 100 meters away with the help of US-based high-end technology, to facilitate the railway track doubling work between Mysore and Bangalore.

The armoury built by the mighty ruler of over 225 years ago -- when he waged a long -- during the relentless war against the British.

In order to save Mysore city during the second Anglo Mysore war, he built this armouries.

Tipu Sultan's armoury will roll across to new location - The Economic Times

The two-century-old Tipu Sultan's armoury near Srirangapatna in Mandya district will make way for a railway track by moving 100 metres away from its present location. A US firm will relocate the 900-tonne armoury intact and the preliminary work for it has begun.

The abandoned armoury came to public attention after the railways planned doubling of track on the Mysuru-Bengaluru sector. Consequently , the project has been delayed for years.

ASI do have the equipment to relocate heritage sites.

"Machines are being used as we have got adequate space and certain huge blocks can be easily moved. However they have been used only in certain places, and for a short while. Once it comes to the main structure and carvings, everything will be done manually," G S Narasimhan, regional director, ASI said.

Thirty three shops were removed by the ASI in February
Tension gripped the neighbourhood of the famous Sri Brihadeeswarar Temple complex here on early on Saturday when many of the petty shops that were forced out by the Archaeological Survey of India and the district administration resurfaced much to the chagrin of the officialdom.

There were around 33 shops at the entrance to the Big Temple complex and those traders claimed that they had been in business for more than 40 years now. However, last February, the ASI and the district administration with the help of the police removed the shops that were obvious encroachments.

Agitated shopkeepers came under the banner of Thanjavur Big Temple Traders’ Association and pleaded with the district administration to allot them alternative place as that was their only means of livelihood. The district administration in consultation with the Thanjavur City Corporation allotted space at the Pethannan Auditorium. But the plan fell through as there arose a dispute in the number of shops to be established. The association then moved the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court for relief and claimed to have secured interim relief on Friday.

Following that the association members in the early hours of Saturday frenetically made arrangements to re-establish shops on the location where they stood earlier. When the officials got wind of the developments, a posse of policemen was despatched and revenue officials arrived at the spot to conduct an inquiry with the traders who reportedly showed them the court order. Police detachments have been deployed on the spot to prevent any untoward incident.

  • They reportedly secured an interim order on Friday
  • Police have tightened security around Big Temple

The story behind "Jaipur Metro being the fastest to be built" is pure political.

Gehlot wanted to stay in power so he chose Mansarovar-Chandpol phase to be built first as it was shorter compared to the other phase and then did his best to complete the project on time. Unfortunately due to Modi' wave, he lost....Gehlot was the best CM rajasthan has ever seen............though m a modi supporter
