2 Spanish Eurofighter down 8 F-15C at recent exercise

Eurofighter's official blog makes an interesting claim today about a recent dissimilar fighter exercise in the Canaries involving Spanish Typhoons and US Air Force F-15s. The blog says:

In an interview on the exercise, Major Juan Balesta, the 41-year old Commander of the 111 Squadron stressed that a two-ship formation of Eurofighters involved in a dogfight simulation "against" the F-15s enjoyed full control of the engagement. The Typhoons managed to smash a formation of eight F-15s which had the role of the attacker with the first Eurofighter jet managing to "shoot down" four F-15 fighter jets. The second Eurofighter managed to disable three F-15 jets. Eventually the pilots were using the Eurofighter Typhoon to full capacity and taking advantage of its enormous capabilities. Trump that.

This apparently refers to an exercise that ended last March. Who thinks Eurofighter is just trying to compensate for something, like a rumored beat-down by Dassault Rafale's at Al Dhafra?

If this news is true then definitely IAF should go for these aircraft with some Masala of Israeli and French.... But there are lots of difference between Gripen and Typhoons...IAF should decide who can take more masala for F16 and Chinese J series.... IAF primary focus is not Pakistan now one has to remember.

Dear Friend IAF is not loocking for Gog fighter for it's MRCA.
We have Su30Mki which is batter then EF.(See the Wikki artical of the Su30 mki any EF pilots say that Su30mki is TRULY MASTERFULL AND UNBEATEBLE)
Pluse we have mig29 Upgraded and In 10 years from now PAKFA for aircombet........

IAF is loocking for the GREAT ground attack and NICE air attach fighter.
Which is F-18, Plus it's got most powerfull AESA radar and 50Mn$ it's vary economical......

^^ Eurofighter should be the perfect choice for IAF, yes its way expensive but it will be a good investment.
Will these eurofighters come with PIRATE IRST? Have these been offered for MRCA?

Mate, you forget that the EF is clearly lighter than the MKI, even the Su 35 should have some problems to outmaneuver the EF and the next upgrade will improve the engines with mor thrust and TVC too. In A2A that bird is really a beast!
Also the MKI might have a bit more radar range, but the big difference in RCS can't be equalised!
In A2G the MKI is clearly superior at the moment, because the EF hardly has such a capability yet and that's exactly why it has no chance in MMRCA.

Regarding the topic, I do think that these results a realistic, because the EF has clear advantages over the F15 in BVR and WVR. However, the news is not new, that simulation happend in spring last year and it is likely, that it was published now only as a reaction to the bad performance against Rafales in UAE.
