Appointments, promotions in Pak Army announced

Pakistan Army has made postings and transfers at senior level.

According to ISPR, two Major Generals have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General. They are Major General Ali Amir Awan and Major General Muhammad Saeed.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has been appointed Chief of General Staff while Lieutenant General Nadeem Zaki Manj as DG SPD.

Lieutenant General Muhammad Amir has been appointed Adjutant General and Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood as Commander Mangla Corps.

Lieutenant General Nauman Mahmood appointed Commander Peshawar Corps.

Lt. Gen. Mirza is a very good pick. He was trusted by Gen. RS during his tenure and also by Gen. Bajwa. He was one of the main officers who handled the standoff with India during the so-called surgical strikes. He will hopefully take over as the Chief when Bajwa retires.

Lt. Gen. Manj also has great reputation and he was a good DGMI.
