It's really not the only sport a billion plus people focus on. People play many other sports too. Besides the vast majority are too poor to take up cricket as anything more than an evening outdoor activity. Most in the middle class also don't like the uncertainty that comes with pursuing a career in sports. And still we have one of the best teams in the world.

Nobody can master any sport to perfection. Think about why the founders of cricket and soccer (the British) have performed so averagely at the two sports.

India hasn't even been unable to produce a bowler who can bowl at speeds of 150+ kph meanwhile Pakistan, NZ, Eng, SA, Aus have bowlers with such ability come and go with smaller populations. That lack of meat must be the cause.

Who told you we dont eat meat? Entire south indians eat meat...thts like 30 crore..even punjabis eat meat...its only in UP, bihar, haryana, guj, bihar and MP some people dont eat meat
