Yeah, hostile local people, terrain, geography, Guerrilla ambush attack, lack of resource all played vital role in breaking the backbone of Pakistan Army. India only attacked when it was sure of Certain victory with minimum casualty.. Most of the Country land was free ( mukto elaka) before India-Pak war, For instance - village in Jamalpur where my Mother's family was hiding was free from March.......
We attacked when our air bases got attacked by PAF. Literally within a week of the incident. Although the refugee problem probably played a much bigger role...
