I was recently talking to my father who had fought in 1965 war in azad kashmir.He said to me that his brigade commander said to him at the time that ehen india crossed ib to relieve troops pakistan should have crossed border in East Pakistan across the chicken neck in assam and would have easily have captured it which would resulted in india losing the north east in a single blow .it would have halted the western offensive across ib and would have given us a big bargaining chip .the siliguri corrodor would have given us border with china .nepal.bhutan

They could but would have to go through bhutan aswell and if that is a case pakistan can use aski chin to come in to ladakh and kargil and take back the ground route for india supplies to saichin glacier

Pakistan idea of defence of east pakistan in the punjab was a big mistake. Having a bigger east pakistan army would have served to protect both wings with india having to look both ways and not massing troops on punjab and ak border

A certain sort of racial disdain for the Bengali and his culture doomed West Pakistan. This is why West Pakistan never thought giving ample reinforcements to East Pakistan and parroted that defence of East Pakistan lies in reinforcement of the West. If Pakistan had played its cards right, then it would have ground India to a ceasefire in East Pakistan ala 1947-48 in Kashmir-----may be even win Tripura in the process..The hubris and prejudices of West Pakistan made it lose its crown jewel. Even now you see Bangladesh has all the makings of being a Tiger economy

Even when Muslim empires defeated Hindu kingdoms they had to wholesale massacre the opposing army in the field of battle..Prospect of losing the North-East would have been a deathknell or a wake up call for India and it would have enlisted international help...That's why the fall of Dhaka and surrender of Pakistan in 2 weeks surprised Indians, when Indians were gearing up for a 2 year brutal war

For that the politics of Pakistan had to be completely different since 1947. Bengali and the saree should have been given the same status as Urdu and Shalwar Kameez. But Pakistan chose to pursue Indus nationalism and treated East Pakistan as the beggar which squats in front of his home, not knowing that the same beggar's son was destined to be a future MIT graduate. It's the political dispensation of West Pakistan that let East Pakistan out of its hand. By the time the defence of East Pakistan moved to the West Pak army from the hands of West Pak politics, it was already way too late

sorry that animal doesnot exist...Chicken sacrifices itself for the sake of human beings, just like human beings sacrifice themselves for the sake of God..and Tiger is the national animal of India. Pakistan unfortunately killed all its tigers while India protects and tries to increase their population..God thought Tiger fits perfectly with the character of India, therefore the highest number of Tigers roam there..

I think the idea of going through nepal would have caused more trouble for india and it would be india who would have expanded war to other countries and as a result would have bought in international players on Pakistan side rather then india it is 1965 and not 2019
