Major General Sparrow
Major General Rajinder Singh Sparrow, MVC, GOC 1st Armoured Division, leans on a captured Pakistani Patton tank in this rare color photograph, after the Battle of Assal Uttar (True Answer). It is here where Pakistan's 1st Armoured Division, consisting of American-supplied Patton tanks, suffered a humiliating defeat from the Indian Army.

India lost in Run of Kutch
India lost in Kashmir
India failed to capture Lahore
India failed to capture Sialkot
India failed to divide Pakistan in two halves (a popular claim still used a lot)
It was desperate utter defeat of India who despite of being six times bigger power end up defending its own land against out number & out gunned enemy.

But indeed current Indian generation is brain washed to believe so that they have NEVER lost a war. This is how propaganda thing work.
After defeat of 62 against China, it was necessary to cover up defeat of 65 against Pakistan.

But again, future generation of India (if there will be any) will claim that they won 62 war too .....

So good luck with all such glorious victories of yours ....... lol

You wanted Kashmir Do you get It

The War was Started At Pretext of Operation Gibraltar

A declassified US State Department letter that confirms the existence of hundreds of "infiltrators" in the Indian-administered part of the disputed Kashmir region. Dated during the events running up to the 1965 war.

I Again Warned you Don't Start Picture War You Will Regret If I started Posting

But that was almost 2 weeks before the war started, and was a response to India starting many skirmishes. If you want to include pre-war escalations, then we can go all the way back to April.

We were the defenders, you were the aggressor. The war started with Operation Gibralter. But you ended up losing territory.

No it didn't, there was almost 2 weeks after Gibraltar and then India decided to invade Pakistan. Gibraltar was part of pre-war escalation, and if you include that, we can go back all the way to April of 65.

Conflict resumed again in early 1965, when Pakistani and Indian forces clashed over disputed territory along the border between the two nations. Hostilities intensified that August when the Pakistani army attempted to take Kashmir by force. The attempt to seize the state was unsuccessful, and the second India-Pakistan War reached a stalemate.

When the Bharti Coward panicked.

Mr. Pradhan has devoted an entire chapter of his book to how General Jayanto Nath Chaudhuri, the Indian Army Chief, badly panicked when Pakistani forces mounted a fierce counter-attack during 1965 war. At one point, Gen Chaudhuri ordered Gen Harbakhash Singh to pull back behind the Beas, essentially leaving much of Indian Punjab to Pakistan.

In Chapter 8 titled "Of Cowardice and Panic" of his book "1965 War-The Inside Story", R.D. Pradhan describes the cowardice of Maj. Gen. Niranjan Prasad, the Indian general commanding officer in Kasur sector. When Pakistan Defense Forces counter-attacked the intruding Indian military and the general was fired upon on Sept 6, 1965, he "ran away". Here's an excerpt:

"On learning that, Lt. Gen. Harbakash Singh and the corps commander drove in a Jonga (Nissan P60 Jeep) to the battlefront. Army commander found that the enemy (PAF) air attack had created a havoc on G.T. Road. (Indian) Vehicles were burning and several vehicles of 15 Division abandoned on the road, the drivers having run away, leaving some of the engines still running. Maj. Gen. Niranjan Prasad was hiding in a recently irrigated sugar cane field. As described by Harabakash Singh: "He (Prasad) came out to receive us, with his boots covered with wet mud. He had no head cover, nor was he wearing any badges of his rank. He had stubble on his face, not having shaved." Seeing him in such a stage, Harbakhash Singh asked him: "Whether he was the General Officer commanding a division or a coolie? Why had he removed badges of rank and not shaved? Niranjan Prasad had no answer."

Since you guys still belong to age when Kids determine ''victory'' of war by adding and subtracting number of tanks destroyed, air crafts shot down, soldiers killed and territory gained, so I better safe my time instead of preaching you people that wars are won by determining the extent of goals achieved, the price paid for achieving that goal and the worth of advantages that goals offer in short and long terms. :coffee:

Good God your grammar's atrocious. I'm going to try and understand what you read, but no promises I got it accurate.

Anyway, you failed to take Lahore and Sialkot, if you don't see that as defeat after you started the war then I don't know what is. Oh and your Prime Minister died of heart attack due to the ceasefire terms.
