19 Old Pictures Of Kashmir That Will Show You How The Times Have Changed

Mountainous regions are so cold and otherwise life is tough there. On the other hand I'm the kind of person who even sleeps with a blanket during the summers and with 3-4 warm quilts (kambal - dunno whether you'd know what it is) in the winters including a quilt covering my mattress. Plus an easy going, happy go-lucky person like myself couldn't possibly survive in a tough environment like that ! :o:

What was Mother Nature thinking ? :argh:

That reminds of my hostel days in Agra during graduation. The building was bang in middle of a very open area (close to a large farmland) very near to bank of river Yamuna. Winters can be really harsh in Agra and to make matters worse, the large open tracts of land provided us with no cover from chilly winds that blow along with thick fog blanket. We were given cots (Charpai as they are called here), and it required serious amount of improvisation (layers of woolen sheets, Rajai etc) to get one cozy. The trouble although was, it was nearly impossible to get away from all this warmth in morning (meaning missing morning classes).
& then in summers, the weather turned opposite to scorching heat (with loo winds).
Mother sure does crazy things.

You should come out of the 'ancestral' syndrome. The day your ancestors decided to migrate to Pakistan, you are a Pakistani. Sooner you recognize that lesser you will hate India.
So, what.why he should come out of the 'ancestral' syndrome. As far as I know him, he is one of the sane poster who don't hate India. I guess, even he cant hate his enemy (u also know that yaar)
regarding Kashmir, every Pakistani know that they cant get it back and we #wontgiveitback.

Writing is one thing, but you can masquerade what you feel through your words and simply come across as a person who is the 'victim'. The thing is you cannot have a positive feeling towards India when you have a belief that you are the victim of India's action.

The sooner he gets out of his self victimization, the better is for him. I am saying this because he is a good person.

@levina apa - I can't believe this is my ancestral homeland !

Yes I know what is kambal. :)
Amyy I think you should stop tagging me now, I just dont have the energy to face trolls who call me names. I am tired of it....I am tired of being misunderstood and am tired of being linked to every Pakistani with whom I'm friends on this forum.

True.but he is anonymous random poster on world of Internet and don't have any compulsion to say good or bad mouthed about India, still he chooses not to play against India. Thats makes him sane.right.

No need for his reply. I know what he would write.

On the second point. it is about how you want to be perceived. This is an anonymous forum, but it has dedicated posters who interact with each other daily making this a community. In a community, people want to be perceived by others in certain way. Some want to be perceived as aggressive, some good, some bad, some knowledgeable and some sociable. This perception on how we want to be perceived by other in a close knotted community dictates what we post here.

I understand. :(

I think most people were only joking but even humor can sometimes be taken too far. On the other hand others were somewhat crass and inappropriate in their comments.

I'm sorry if I, unwittingly, played any part in all of that.

So au revoir but you will always be my chubby South Indian apa jee with a weird hairdo ! :)

Dont be sorry!
It was not your fault. But I hate how ppl misconstrue whatever you and me talk.

So au revoir but you will always be my chubby South Indian apa jee with a weird hairdo ! :)
And this word apaaa(with extra A's) will keep echoing inside my head.(I'm sure that's how you sound when you say that word.)
Btw whats weird about my hairs?(the bleached hairs 're almost gone)lol
And what would a cartoon like yourself know about hairstyle who has, forever, maintained the same hairstyle(centre parting, long fringes)?
(I'm sorry, I was a lil too upset after I saw that the member's obnoxious comment was not yet removed from that thread, I thot I had developed a thick skin but I guess i was wrong)
