What's new

19.7% Chinese urban family own more than two houses/apartments.

That is really a good new!but buying a new house is still hard for most of famliy for young. The parents have their own house with the help of the sate company but how about young guy?
Young people have no right to claim "o my god, the housing is so expensive" because u r just fresh in the society. I have not known any person more than 35 year old without having their own housing. I live in a second tier city, renting is only existing among young people who come from other places.

I know you can loan from the bank but you will be as a slave for the bank for nearly 20 years.BTW,still have lots of people have lower salary who cant afford the price of two tier city. However the incoming immigrant will keep push high the house price of second tier city.
The second tier city like wuhan changsha chengdu have occupied the half GDP of the whole province, best education resource and better job choice just focus on one city. :(The peolpe who come to these city will face more problem.

No,wuhan(武汉) GDP accounts for 1/3 Hubei province.Per capita GDP $16k.(2014)
The other cities in Hubei province.
Yichang(宜昌) per capita GDP $12.4k.
Ezhou(鄂州) per capita GDP $10.6k.

Wuhan has even higher GDP per capita than Shanghai, so what? Wuhan is part of Hubei Province. Tax revenue is redistributed across the province. Some prefectures in Hubei has per capita GDP less than $5000, but their living standards are not just one third of Wuhan. Bus ticket there is also 1-2 yuan. A waitress in a low-end restaurant earn 2000-3000 yuan per month(with free food and dorm) no matter she is in Shanghai, Wuhan or Enshi.

.
My family live in Shanghai and have 2 apartments. It is common and we all know Eastern coast is developed. It is the inner and western side that need our focus and help.

People in the cities of interior even have more apartments. lol
The problem is for migrant people in another city.

.
1.I am just decorating my second apartment in the city, and going to move there before the chinese new year.

The apartment where i live would be for rent.

2.my second apartment was bought 4 years ago,and i did not decide to decorate it until this year.
In fact, once i tried to sell it and buy one new nearer to better schools for my kid.

3. I am over 30 years old.
Most of my friends at the age of over 30 own more than 2 apartments in the city.
One 140m2 apartment in NanChang city has good traffic, around junior-senior high schools including a provincial key middle school, and not too far away from NanChang University Town, bought car parking space in there. But now im not lving in NanChang not in HaiKou city, working in ShenZhen city as the engineer and get local registered permanent residence ... so next target i plan for a small apartment in ShenZhen it means i'd better to prepare at least 0.6 million RMB for the down payment, i got half but still need earn rest in next years. Just like i said, the happy time in China big cities had gone ! Im also 30-year age, not young ... anyways i have to finish it in ShenZhen, will be good for my family. Keep working ... :-)

@cnleio @badguy2000

I envy you as you have multiple properties.

You are both loaded, i.e. rich.

:-)
Not rich yet, my friend ... bought apartments earlier in hometown with cheaper price (in that time 1/3 or 1/2 compared with today real estate), but coming to another big city i just rent apartment there and local real estate price grow up. The better thing is JiangXi is GuangDong's neighbor province, airline just cost 1.5 hours flight, CRH train cost 5x hours from ShenZhen to NanChang, not too far, from ShenZhen to HaiNan cost less. Anyways the difficulty can be overcome, it just need some time and it's better for young ppl to challenge ourselves, to try new things, to grow ... it's a amazing life, my friend when we can enjoying life in different cities in China ... i like that, the reason why i next plan for a apartment in ShenZhen just do my best.:-)

:-)To be exact, these three are the most developed cities in Hubei province.

:(However the total province per capita isn't high, less than $8k in 2014.

And if you only use GDP to judge,it's inaccurate.

For example,if you only see GDP per capita,Jiangsu province is more developed than Zhejiang province, however, many other statistic like
electricity usage, income, car ownership amount, showes that Zhejiang is the most developed province in China.

(Beijing,Shanghai,Chongqing,Macau,Hong Kong,Tianjin,Taiwan exclude)
**BTW,it seems that few foreigner people know Macau...Is it true?

Oh,but GDP per capita can be used for general judgment.Despite the fact that Zhejiang is more developed than Jiangsu,Jiangsu is second in China(at least third,or equal to Guangdong province)

**China's wealthy provinces:Zhejiang(浙江),Jiangsu(江苏),Guangdong(广东),Shandong(山东),Liaoning(辽宁),Inner Mongolia(内蒙古),Fujian(福建).
**China's poor provinces:Gansu(甘肃),Yunnan(云南),Guizhou(贵州),Tibet(西藏),Guangxi(广西).

I have an idea, earning in Beijing and finding chances to move to inland, then you can buy a big house.:-)

The Chinese girl i was sleeping with once told me that the way income is distributed in china is a different story. But the economic and GDP figures are quite impressive though.

The names sound so similar :( Jiangsu Zhijiang Guangdong Shandong :P I have heaard about Macau but since its China it has never been clear to me.. I met a guy from Taiwan and he said he is from China but I read some where Taiwan is not a part of China. It is all so confusing

If u get a higher-pay job in BeiJing u should go ... my personal suggestion, BeiJing is too big too many population, bad quality air, highest house price in China. Cities in South China or East China much better than stay in BeiJing ... even u just get 10,000~15,000 RMB salary per month in some China 2-tier big city like WuHan, u will find u r living in the HEAVEN.

How ppl live comfortable that depend on the balance of ur earning and local goods & reale state price.

Of course, it's Okay and easily realize to job in some city and home in another city in China, but this's just a PLAN B for ur family, it still has many inconvenience, PLAN A is to get a home in local city. Anyways when u earn enough money in hands, China is big u can choose any city for ur family as ur wish. :D
