I don't agree with your this conclusion. It was 18th centuries Indian's weakness that Britisher's "just" exploited. If you think Britishers are responsible for most of the problems that subcontinent is facing right now, than why those problems are not rectified yet? Who is stoping the people of subcontinent from solving those problems? Britishers?

Because the problems they have systematically left behind are extremely difficult to resolve and by design create dead lock.
