You have to fix your own issues. Indian support to the BLA/BLF is well known. But the issue is greater than that. What pushes people into the arms of these groups.

My mother's grandfather also migrated from Lucknow to Karachi..If you know Shakeel Ahmed he worked in All India radio and later became a newsreader in Radio Pakistan..but my father is from Kashmir..

My family name is Awan...my mom is Syed...we believe Qutb Shah who was resided in Herat,Afghanistan and he also became a general of Mehmood Ghazni army.In recognition of their services and valour.. Mahmud Ghazni bestowed upon Qutb Shah and his sons the title of Awan.. meaning "helper"...so thats why we use Awan as our family name and Malik as a title ..but he was an Arab not a pashtun..i love history too..it connects the missing links...people can think out of the box if they know history..and dont worry you dont sound crazy people need to learn history big time..They think whts the use of worrying about the past...but it is past which teaches us we all can live together and the stories are very real and motivating..I dont believe our scholars can lie..because lying is a big sin itself..so I think only Islamic scholars can write authentic history..If you are really a pashtun i advice you to learn pashto and marry a pashtun and get back on the track ... only thn you can be a real Pashtun..or else if you are a little white and dont know pashto they will start calling you Hindko I like Pashtuns company we make fun of each other..They are very interesting and straight forward people

That is great. Is that from where the entire Awan tribe descended? This is very interesting and could enhance my knowledge. Is there any figure who is Awan that is historically held in high regard. For example our ancestor from mothers side is Qutb Uddin Shaheed. He was assasinated for his support to Akbar. Check this, its our house which became a school of learning:

In the past scholars had a role in writing history though I believe travellers and historians have been the most famous. Take for example Ibn Battuta and Pashtun historian Fareshta. Sorry for dragging Pashtuns in everywhere. I am an ajooba in my family who considers himself Pashtun (After Pakistani of course) and has learnt so much Pashtun history it is electrifying my brain. Suris, Lodhis, Khiljis, Ghaznavids, Ghorids, the 3 ancient poets, Pir Roshan Malala of Maiwand... I know it all!

If you are really a pashtun i advice you to learn pashto and marry a pashtun and get back on the track ... only thn you can be a real Pashtun..or else if you are a little white and dont know pashto they will start calling you Hindko I like Pashtuns company we make fun of each other..They are very interesting and straight forward people

The Pashtun links are barely proven (even if they exist it means only 15% blood) and you know how it is. Pathans living in that region lost Pashto and even we, if we have them have very limited links which even my parents don't know about since they haven't researched our history. Our link is supposed to be through a Pashtun princess. We are not sure who she was.

After 47 (I say after because we moved late-my mother came in late 70's I think to get married) we moved from those parts to Pakistan though I have family in there (Lucknow and other parts) too, mostly from my mothers side to which I am loyal-this hampers my wish to merge as a Pashtun though Pir Roshan a Pashtun philosopher was also Ansari. After that those who moved to Pakistan, that branch of our family started calling itself muhajir (because they spoke urdu-it happened with rohillas too-research them) which I believe is wrong and a very fake incorrect term that is actually abusive. It means religious pilgrim for godsake. How do city dwelling folk look like pilgrims.

Personally yes. That was my plan but no one marries a sick guy. haha. I will learn Pashto though zama Pashto kha na da (my Pashto is not good)... Ze Pashto wayyem (I'm studying Pashto) through notes on pc.
