16 Buddhist stupas found at Nateshwar Bangladesh

Okay.. this thread is turning out to be a classic example of butthurtness... I can understand the frustration of that Burmese chap but why Indians are feeling so insecure? Discovery of these stupas is nothing that significant...

Did the Bhakts wage a war on the Buddhists as well???

I'll give you shipbuilding. The others you can have a

Pharma and IT sector isnt your cup of tea. We have huge domestic market and $40b worth import needs, first let us fulfill that apart from $33b we are already exporting. You can keep your rofl to yourself. That is the difference you are so clueless Burmese, depend on FDI and no idea where the money is going and what for and want to slaughter each other only.

whatever tata makes, all are ugly looking

@Nilgiri walton's main competitor.. Jamuna

Jamuna's bike Pegasus. Observe Ananta Jalil's style and another one Runner

.
and forgot to mention that, 90% customers of tata are indians lol
and also forgot to mention how long tata in this business, yet ugly looking designs have not changed.

Design not changed and only desis reviewing it and buying it :D Did you know Tata is aiming to export 150,000 commercial vehicles (trucks and buses) in just few years time? Not even talking about cars here.

As a bonus feature for you my friend:

So where is that statement you made that only Indians buy TATA? You think TATA is exporting 50,000 commercial vehicles and soon to triple that number...solely on NRI demand? :D

If you think its ugly fine. People have different tastes. Accept worldwide they dont share your Bengali taste. Maybe a snorkel makes everything prettier for you :D.

Thanks this is more useful. Every journey begins with a single step.

Do you have the actual production/capacity data for Jomuna as well?

And are there any other companies (outside of Walton and Jomuna) + their production numbers.

Is there any white paper released by any analysis group concerning domestic motorbike production within B'desh.

Maybe lets move this conversation to Bdesh economy thread now? (Continue replies there etc..)

Lets not go towards deep analysis to waste more time. BD isnt still much open to disclose much info online. They know their business we are user not seller. Jamuna=Pagasus 1.5 lac unit. Another company Runner=1.5 lac unit. RFL which produces bicycles also invested in business, they will also come.

Oh I'll keep laughing for a good while yet. Second biggest export after garments? Oh man. BD is good at the human intensive industries where you can send poor people to their deaths in death trap factories for cheap such as garments and shipbuilding/breaking and even then consumer groups in the west are wising up to the appalling conditions and start to look elsewhere. Maybe less so with the ships because I doubt shipping companies care how their ships get broken. Man power export? Yeah, if you want to sustainably send out maids and slaves for ME building projects. Everything else is a joke. Pharma? You think you can export paracetamol? Cars? LOL Who the hell would buy a BD car? Fridges?
BD companies in Myanmar? LOL. The only link they have is with your diaspora because they are marginalised here.

But like you say, you really are not competition. I just like laughing at you boys because you are so deluded and because I know that your giant swamp population is a big threat to our borders what with climate change and overpopulation. And I like to unwind in the BD forum.

Where did so much hate comes from my little friend?
China, India rapes you from left and right everyday yet I never saw you raise a voice against a Chinese or Indian in this forum.

Bangladesh is not your enemy nor a competitor. We wish you all the best, specially in the garments sector which is coming nicely in Myanmar after removing of the sanction.

Consumer electronics are coming fast in Bangladesh, not yet big in export but capturing huge domestic market.

I'd like to point out my initial rebuff was at the ridiculous notion Bangladesh could become a Buddhist tourist centre. And ever more ridiculous notion that it will be a tourist hotspot and that, according to Bongo, it could be second in importance after garments.

 It's not that it's not my cup of tea. You're just clueless. It's very telling you mention import substitution as a strategy. Ask Brazil or your Indian masters how that went. I've been very fair. I've said that you can go a long way with your current, cheap labour intensive industries but please don't be fooled to think you can export cars or fridges. $20B of software export because you read it in a newspaper  What this shows to me is that your country is having problems attracting the necessary FDI and expertise to go the next step. If I were to guess, your friendly, neighbourhood India will come in and lend a hand. At the right price, ofcourse. Nice bike commercial btw.

Please understand, I don't hate you. You provide a great source of comedy. Especially this BD section. It's more derision when you get all filled with hope and delusion over things that never materialise. There's a real childlike quality to you people. It would be endearing if there weren't so many of you and climate change didn't exist.

So much jealousy.Even Myanmar has a dream to defeat our trump card(garments industry) which they can't.Lol

Can't understand the negativity and condescension towards Bangladesh and it's developments, Especially by the likes of @Nilgiri and @alaungphaya , Posters i hold in very high regard in this forum ,Which is very rare for me believe me ;)

C'mon mates, Any country has the potential to draw tourists if it does the job right, Bangladesh too have it's pro's a rich history, Culture, Archaeological sites and beautiful scenery.. Sure it's not on the tourism map as of now but if they keep developing at the pace they're now and infrastructure grows they could be

Political stability is paramount for tourism and also a relative open society, If they can have both of these for a decade and a half i'm sure they will have a selling point, Especially to the massive newly rich Indian upper middle class, Who are looking at alternatives to domestic tourism

Burma attracted some 4.8 million tourists annually since they opened up merely three years ago, So there is huge potential for Bangladesh to tap in to if they get the right policies
