What's new

12th December; Karachi LockDown !

Their excuse? It's a shut down!

Poor OP. He's forced to post picture with just a few people standing around.

Stop watching ARY. It's like the fox news of Pakistan alongside Geo. And PTI has no support in Karachi. If some Karachiite does support PTI in ignorance than he or she needs to watch his Eid speech which I posted here a month ago.

.
sad pictures all around. also i am sure that burning tires in the middle of roads to stop all movement is a violation of the law. the irony is that this being done by the justice party. its not even funny anymore, its actually quite depressing. anyway, i hope pakistan recovers from all this fiasco.

. . .
the notable point is not if PTI succeeds in shutting down the city, but its intent to shut down the city. the intent is openly destructive. the notion that pakistan needs to be destroyed so we can rebuild it, as if this is not real life but looney tunes. the idea is so absurd. its almost as if a kindergartener came up with it while playing with blocks.

i still can not come to terms with it, that such an openly violent and destructive idea is getting mainstream recognition. very frightening indeed, to picture where the society is heading.

If Pakistan is being destroyed by these shutdowns, then the blame for that falls entirely on PML-N.

The reason is that PML-N are the ones who are blocking the entirely reasonable requests of Imran Khan and his millions of supporters to investigate vote fraud (nobody in Pakistan doubts the last election had lots of vote fraud). PTI is using a form of protest that other parties in Pakistan also use, including PML-N.

Some time ago when I was living in the UK, nurses went on strike for better pay. Since they had a reasonable demand, and the government was blocking that reasonable demand, it was the government that was responsible for any harm done to patients by the nurses' strike. The same principle applies here: PML-N is responsible for any harm done by these shut-down protests, because the protests only happened when PML-N blocked the course of justice.

1. imran khan's narrative about rigging is that it was done by election commission, returning officers, interim punjab government, chief justice supreme court iftakhar choudhry, unnamed military intelligence officer, geo news and mir shakeel ur rehman. and you are saying everyone in pakistan believes this story? what about santa claus? was he not involved?

2. pml n has not blocked election investigation, in fact nawaz sharif has already written a letter to the supreme court to investigate the election of 2013 based on the allegations made by PTI, which the supreme court has refused to take up because the election tribunal is already in place and working. the same tribunal in which the 4 constituencies imran khan demanded to be open are also open.

3. pml n has only blocked imran khan's (reasonable LOL) demand that the prime minister resigns because in his opinion under nawaz sharif there can be no independent investigation.

4. imran khan: "nawaz sharif is destroying the country. let us show him by destroying it ourselves." what logic. i will not even go to shut down to rebuild. why not nuke pakistan so we can make new pakistan? my head hurts now. i am going to stop.

have a heart. pakistan is a poor country where millions barely eat two times a day. think about how many children slept hungry today because their parents missed work. its just pathetic. this cult style of worshipping party leaders that they can do no wrong is cancer.

lol, your head would hurt less if you would just stop trying to justify the lies of PMLN.

InshaAllah, I do have a heart. If Nawaz Sharif had a heart, he would immediately order the formation of the judicial commission that his government already agreed to with PTI so that the four constituencies in question could be fairly and impartially investigated. That is the key demand which, if met, will end these shutdown protests. Why is the government not going ahead with the commission to which they already agreed, and according to the terms they already agreed?

Do you really care about children going hungry because their parents missed a day of work? Those children could have been fed if PML-N had acted fairly according to their previous agreement! Please blame PML-N for not forming the judicial commission when they could do so in 24 hours!

The government has been hiding behind stay orders to prevent opening the ballot bags of the four constituencies that PTI has been requesting be audited. Only just recently did the election tribunal finally give permission to open the ballot bags of NA-122, and even then Sadiq, who allegedly won in NA-122, has been trying to create roadblocks to this. All this could have been dealt with over a year ago, and no shutdown protests would be needed, and children would be getting fed. Please blame PML-N for their blocking and delaying tactics in response to PTI's reasonable requests for opening just four constituencies.

The opening of the constituencies has been repeatedly blocked by stay orders from the PML-N government. This is why children are going hungry, so please place the blame where it is deserved!
