In nutshell, Islam is the religion of God. It was given to first man, Adam who was also the first prophet and it completed on Mohammad (PBUH). What we called sealed for the rest of the time. There is and always been one religion. The only thing was that with each prophet, he was given his own sharia (the way) with subtle differences according to the time and people he was send to.
