    T-LORAMIDS Tender | Updates & Discussion

I would like to share my 2 cents if I might. This might be a long one :) Well, thats not really how NATO works. The only NATO radars in Turkey are with the temporary patriot batteries and the X-band AN/TPY-2 radar in Kurecik. You can rest assured that the rest are completely operated by...

Keel of the third MILGEM to be laid

As painful as it is to say, Milgem is the first proper modern warship we have produced and they have taken a cautious approach. I believe the idea was to get enough feedback from first, apply the lessons learned to the second ship, again wait for feedback from the navy and build the rest in a...

    T-LORAMIDS Tender | Updates & Discussion

There are some serious questions around these issues so anything I say should also be taken with a grain of salt. :smart: :raise: As I understand here is how this works. We have our own independant C4I infrasturcture (forgot the name, developed by Havelsan of Turkey). The main C&C center in...

    T-LORAMIDS Tender | Updates & Discussion

I believe tech transfer is the key here. As long as we have access to the complete source codes including the command and control, I am confident we can find a way to interface them together. Greece had no way of integration since Russians never shared the tech with them. They would have been...

    T-LORAMIDS Tender | Updates & Discussion

It is 100% confirmed :enjoy: As you have mentioned I also hope this will not affect our other major programs. Maybe Turkey being a NATO member is one :)

    T-LORAMIDS Tender | Updates & Discussion

We already rely on US 100% for our airforce. Having an independant AA network was probably one of the main drivers. And I believe the capabilities of the system were secondary to the generous tech transfer we have been offered (along with 25% cheaper price tag).

Z-10 or T-129 Atak or AH-1Z for the Pakistan Army?

I don't get it. Is this supposed to mean something? Prototype F-22 also crashed during development (just like many other aircraft) so shell we assume (theoretically) if PAF is offered f-22s it wouldn't be good enough for them? Do you think an accident of a (first) prototype is an indicator of...

Z-10 or T-129 Atak or AH-1Z for the Pakistan Army?

There seems to be some confusion on T-129's licensing so let me try to clarify. As we all know AW-129's all rights belong to Agustawestland and that still holds true. TAI and AW created a special model, the "T-129" where AW is the subcontrator. That is, ALL RIGHTS of T-129 belongs to TAI (unlike...

TUBITAK has produced the first domestic rocket fuel

Probably importing with all these strings attached. Here is a piece from another article: Science, Industry and Technology Minister Nihat Ergün remarked on the importance of the country producing its own rocket fuel, saying that rocket fuel is a strategically important product that is not...

Z-10 or T-129 Atak or AH-1Z for the Pakistan Army?

U.S. F-22 stealth fighter pilot taunted Iranian F-4 Phantom combat planes

I imagine a dedicated ISR platform like a drone would have better intel collection payload compared to a manned platform with just a recce pod.

ANKA could further delays after a Chinese company bought the German firm

This Burak Bekdil guy is a joke. He always writes like he is some kind of "defence authority" but apparently he missed the signature ceremony for our own engine. TEI to Develop Indigenous Engine for ANKA Unmanned Aerial vehicle. Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) and TEI signed a...

Pak’s two-faced Syria policy will boomerang

"Pakistan should stand with the Syrian people and support their fight against Alqaeda F$A terrorists" is exactly the same as "Pakistan should support dictator Assad and hizbullah terrorists". I really don't see how you can diffrentiate the two. Also al qaeda == hizbullah in my eyes. Both are...

Pak’s two-faced Syria policy will boomerang

On your first point, I brought up Hizbullah. There are two sides fighting here, Assad forces vs FSA. You mention FSA using al qaeda but failed to "remember" hizbullah's association with Assad. Seems dishonest to me. The point I am trying to make is both sides are infiltrated by terrorist...

Pak’s two-faced Syria policy will boomerang

You mean support Hizbullah instead of Alqaeda? I think Pakistan is doing the best by staying neutral. There are no winners here, only losers. I just wish my government had the same foresight as Pakistan's and left arab metters to arab states and stay the hell away from it (in both egypt and syria)

    Turkish Land Vehicle Programs

"The purpose of V-hulls is to increase vehicle and crew survivability by deflecting an upward directed blast from a landmine (or Improvised Explosive Device) away from the vehicle, while also presenting a sloped armor face.[4][5] By presenting its armor at an angle, it increases the amount of...
