    Eurofighters lost

I desisted from posting on this thread for a long time, thinking that this thread is a goner any moment. However, it seems to have survived, so here are my two cents! This info has been sourced from swerve @ kepubs which was also corroborated by a few other posters there. These fellas are...

HAL Tejas | Updates, News & Discussions

Yaar, sach bata; Didn't you bluff thinking that nobody will take the pains of actually looking at the video and timing the turn? It takes 26 seconds to complete the turn in this video. This is a g limited test aircraft with incomplete opening of the g envelop, even then it is a...

MOD to HAL: Build Tejas Mk.2 With Export In Mind

Not a reliable write up! The author has quoted various experts saying various things and then he has inserted his own make believe figure of 40%. AFAIK, the engine, ejection seat and a couple of avionics are the only completely imported equipments on board the LCA. The radar is...

MOD to HAL: Build Tejas Mk.2 With Export In Mind

Trolls bring out the best in us! Anyway, as you have quoted my post, check the context in which it was made. Also, I asked this Peaceful guy to back his claims about the LCA being an assembled craft which he is yet to do!

MOD to HAL: Build Tejas Mk.2 With Export In Mind

Well, if that is the case then it is time for him to talk S**t and troll somewhere else! Let us hope at least his buddy tanlixiang comes up with something sensible. Meanwhile, here is a pic of all those facilities described in my earlier post. (Imageshack seems to be playing up...

MOD to HAL: Build Tejas Mk.2 With Export In Mind

Peaceful, you have a very low attention span! You had asked the same question on the AMCA thread to which I had written a detailed reply. You have not gone through that instead you spread the same BS here. Anyway, here is the original post. There are many other pics in that thread...

Not enough room for China in Indian Ocean: Maldives

In 20 years, Indian warships could birth at Deigo Garcia. That is my prediction! US would do well to secure the Pacific and the Atlantic. Indian Ocean will slide out of their influence.:smokin: ......And the world will end in 2012! Your point is.......?

MOD to HAL: Build Tejas Mk.2 With Export In Mind

So, China does not have sweatshops, does it?:cheesy: Get real, dude! I'm not at all interested in a pissing contest here. What I ask of you is simple, name the foreign parts in Tejas to prove the point that it is almost completely (90-95% , I presume) foreign. Just name the...

MOD to HAL: Build Tejas Mk.2 With Export In Mind

Ever heard of a little plane called as Grippen? Lot of exports I hear! :azn: Also, support this claim (bolded) or be labelled as a troll. Engine and a few avionics are imported. The rest (even that does not make it a majority, mind you!) are sourced. Understand the difference. Sometimes, it is...

AMCA :: Fifth Generation Fighter Under Development in India

No bhai! Kaveri, SCB, FCS, advanced wind tunnels and others are all the basic building blocks of AMCA. The fancy roll out ceremony comes much later. Whenever we discuss whether India has the capability to design and produce something like AMCA, these issues are bound to get discussed...

AMCA :: Fifth Generation Fighter Under Development in India

Here it is ....... (check the left upper corner) Though this one is shown in a newer engine proposed for use in UAVs. A few slides about the Indian SCB tech. Though a bit dated, unofficial sources claim much more progress.

AMCA :: Fifth Generation Fighter Under Development in India

Yup! It was mentioned for those who know the DSBs. The DSB tech was mastered by DRDO in 2000-2002. I remember a techfocus issue from DRDO about that in the same timeframe. Indian SCB tech is comparatively recent development, though we have indeed mastered it!

AMCA :: Fifth Generation Fighter Under Development in India

About the Kaveri program, I was one it's biggest critics. This program has suffered from worst of the project management practices. However, post successful test flights at Grumov, I had an in depth re look at this project and was surprised at how it has turned a corner. A look at the...

AMCA :: Fifth Generation Fighter Under Development in India

First of all, pray tell me what is a "complete" wind tunnel?:azn: Apart from what IndianArmy has enumerated, there is one more at IISc, Bangalore (two if you count their facility for rotorcrafts as a different unit). Also, one more Hypersonic wind tunnel is in it's final stage of construction...

Ghosts Who Walk:a taskforce report on how to reform our intel agencies

That is a nice article. It does highlight some key issues ailing the Indian spy agencies. Press reports passed off as secret intelligence and poor recruitment policies have indeed been the achilles heel for us since a long time. There really is no substitute for a robust intelligence network...
