    Actually, according to the Constitution, their job is to PROTECT THE BORDER, but somehow the Army has redefined on its own the job to protect the IDEOLOGY of Pakistan internally and externally. That illegal redefinition is what cause the problems.

    So your basic issue is the value of the services provided, since value is defined as quality divided by cost. However, that equation is not easy to apply when there is a sole provider situation. There is no other entity that can provide the services needed at the scale needed in large disasters...

    These days, any institution that actually delivers something useful, like rescue efforts by the Army here, should be commended, considering that most of the time nothing works anymore.
