    The answer is jf17 with upgraded avionics i.e block 3 which will bring it on par and a little ahead of the f16,Mirage 2k-5, Mig-29 (because of AESA and other avionics). But they will be needed in large numbers 150 have already been ordered and will be taken to 250 but should be taken to 300+.

    If the aircraft is supposedly f-16 it will have 16 to 24 aircraft in a squadron but it can vary. I said that if it has a different type, the f-16 and rafale are both the same type(i.e fighter) aircraft's, if their was a different type like a transport aircraft e.g c130 then may have different...

    Its has almosy the same range as the hellfire which is 7 to 8 km. The system uses hydra 70 mm rockets which have 4 to 5 kg warhead.
