This was from two weeks ago. More aid from US will surely follow. In 2010, US gave $150 million for flood relief to Pakistan. Similar or more can be expected from them. As per one WSJ article, international donors have promised upto $500 million already. I would expect this figure to touch a $1...
1) Pakistan was able to make the best deal under the circumstances. Friendly countries were not ready to loan more without collateral because all governments before (including PTI) have borrowed heavily. The assets were priced as per demand and leverage that the seller holds.

Pakistan needs about $10 billion in FDI every year to sustain a growth rate of 5%-6% without running into BoP crisis. This has been India's trick for a while now despite the fact that both countries suffer from same productivity and operational inefficiency concerns.
Miftah has gained quite a bit of following on social media. Lot of people praise this man's caliber and pin their hopes on him. Just check the replies to this tweet
Pakistan will need the same level of international support that it was able to gather during the 2010 floods. The US followed by UK were the most significant donors during that period. I believe that at least $1 billion will be necessary to restore and reboot the rural economy
