Here's my question. What advantage does Pakistan have to gain by continuing blocking of NATO supply routes? If anything it's alienating the US and NATO even more.
Besides, it wont be smooth sailing for anyone in the area, allied, non-allied or even local Pakistani troops in the tribelands...
Well, propoganda is usually a part of every war. The point I was trying to make is that a nation which has been traditionally a Pakistani ally for most of its history, even if only to serve its own interests could have helped Pakistan reign in the tribelands in exchange for support in the war...
I look forward to the success of the test.
On the points mentioned in the article, could someone explain to me why a SAM would require a nuclear war head fitted onto it?
It would be interesting to follow this project. For all it's short comings Chennai does have some of the better maintained roads when compared to other cities and this can only make it better. Something like this would definitely come in handy in cities like Bangalore and Pune.
Also I wonder if...
Here's the thing. Every nation has played games in Afghanistan. But the only one which stands to loose stability is Pakistan. The fear Pakistan had of Afghanistan becoming an Indian ally seems to have overshadowed the possibility of Pakistan gaining control over its tribelands and at the same...
Not sure about what is viewed as evidence in your country, but Headley's testimony backed by his documentary evidence would normally clinch it in most courts around the world.
Interesting article. Makes sense though since Jawaharlal Nehru had been more intent on giving protectorate status to monarchies. Bhutan still enjoys it.
And for those who decided to bring up the Sikkim issue, the matter was decided by plebicite not force. They choose to merge with India rather...
That's actually an interesting take. Does anyone actually know what the terms of the treaty are apart from informing one another before hand? I doubt any clause was broken else the media from both sides would have been at the issue like vultures.
Thats an interesting approach. Although it would also make for a tempting target by militants. But have they mentioned what exactly is termed as "radical thought"?
First the media gets the Army chief's letter, then the movement of troops near NCR and now this. If true, it's not a very good sign about the state of secrecy in the circles in Delhi.
Every time I read a member post about nuclear strikes is shake my head at their sheer lack of sanity or understanding of what it entails.
@Mastan Khan : I suppose you're one of the people who support killing of innocent civilians (women, children, babies etc etc included) as revenge for what...
It's amusing to see the Chinese members talk about India's so called "backwardness" as the reason it should not join the UNSC as a permanent member given the fact that when China was made a permanent member it was actually worse off than India is right now. Infact the way things have gone down...
Hmm..seems like a plan to run before you can walk. But if they do pull it off before the end of this decade, even if it isn't in 2015, hat's off to them.
There already are sanctions still running against India. These include all space related guidance systems, nuclear tech (most countries), avionics, Missile systems in the long range category and every other technology that is deemed to have dual usage. All that has been achieved has been despite...
So you want to justify the treatment of the Indians at the hands of the Chinese because of what a US officer did to a Chinese at Niagra falls? That is the lamest reply I ever read! The US officer was a racist fool and the Chinese traders were illiterate barabrians. That's all there is to it.
A...
