For starters , we elect our leaders and chuck out the ppl whom we dislike unlike you ,so much for flying fcuk and all :blah:

The only real enemy for China is THE USA. All the others are just Uncle SAM's lapdog. Once Uncle SAM is gone then the lapdogs won't bark anymore.

India - first feed your poor people, then talk about gaining the UNSC seat. I'm usually against poverty bashing, but this is starting to get annoying with Indians jumping to conclusions about how great their country is.

Still wondering about this argument.

China has the 2nd largest economy, and the 2nd largest military budget (by a large margin).

Yet we are NOT the 2nd most powerful country in the world. According to the official Chinese power ranking (CNP), we are the 6th most powerful country in the world.

--------------------

India on the other hand has the 11th largest economy, and the 8th largest military budget.

Yet you claim to be the 4th most powerful country in the world?

Can I get your CNP ranking list, Chinese Dragon? Interested in seeing it.

You mean "electing your corrupted leaders in every levels, from federal to provincial"??? BTW, even they are so corrupted, you have no damn way to deal with them??? You cannot send your corrupted leaders to prison, let alone get them any sentences...

What a joke! :)

I really feel a pity for such a superficial dem india.

Here is the Chinese ranking, in which we are ranked as the #6 most powerful country.

Here is a Western ranking of national power:

Composite Index of National Capability - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Obviously, the Western ranking exaggerates the power of China by miles and miles.

Thats list of 2006, can you provide us latest ranking of comprehensive national power, if you have.

Composite index includes demographic strength, so China and India have very high ranks, which is obviously not true atleast in case of India. India is far behind the China, western nations in percapita terms.

It's amusing to see the Chinese members talk about India's so called "backwardness" as the reason it should not join the UNSC as a permanent member given the fact that when China was made a permanent member it was actually worse off than India is right now. Infact the way things have gone down off late, China would benefit having India on the panel. China, Russia and India have been on the same page when it comes to international issues for the past few years.

While I don't foresee India to get a permanent seat in the near future with China being wary and with the recent Indian stand against NATO sanctions in Syria, I am sure there will be a sustained diplomatic effort to get a seat in the future.

UN chief urged to take up India's rights violations 'central part' of his Delhi talks
By: Special Correspondent | 47 minutes ago
NEW YORK - Human Rights Watch, an international watchdog body, has asked UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who is in New Delhi, to raise the large-scale violations of human rights in India and in occupied-Kashmir during his talks with Indian leaders.
The secretary-general flew to New Delhi on Wednesday for a three-day visit, saying he would discuss regional and global issues with Indian officials and leaders.
“India has a dynamic democracy, but UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon should not gloss over the serious domestic violations and routine impunity that affect millions of Indians, and hold back the country’s development,” Meenakshi Ganguly, South Asia director at the New York-based Human Rights Watch, said in a statement.
“Ban would do a great disservice to the Indian people if he were to only talk about regional and global issues,” she said.
Human Rights Watch urged the UN chief to press the Indian government to address serious human rights violations, such as extrajudicial killings, abuses in conflict areas, and widespread torture. The Indian government has failed to hold soldiers and police officers who are responsible for abuses to account, it said.
Ban should also raise India's excessive restrictions on civil society and the need to take strong steps to protect the rights of women, Dalits, indigenous people, and other vulnerable groups. Widespread impunity for these abuses, as well as a lack of access to justice or adequate compensation, are commonplace in India, Human Rights Watch said.
The secretary-general should in particular press the Indian government to repeal the Armed Forces Special Powers Act, Human Rights Watch said. The law provides effective immunity to soldiers responsible for serious human rights violations and has led to widespread abuses in Jammu and Kashmir, and in the northeastern states where it remains in force. Ban should also call for the repeal of archaic sedition laws that have been used to silence peaceful dissent.
“As India develops a foreign policy to match its emerging global status, Ban should caution Indian leaders against allowing sovereignty concerns to blind them to serious human rights abuses in other countries,” Ms. Ganguly said. “With growing power comes growing responsibility, not only to foreign governments, but also to the people they often oppress.”

It is not UNSC seat he will talk about. That's just assumed by our Indian cousins across the border.

The reality is close to the following:

Ban is coming to warn India from buying oil from Iran.

peace.,

US, japan and germany are the 3 most technologically advanced nations.

And India isn't one of the three.

Interestingly, not ONE single P5 member has said that they are willing to give up veto power for India.

They always say "permanent seat", but never promise anything about a veto.

Of course, a permanent seat without a veto is worthless, but at least you won't have to get cycled every few years.

You don't understand, India is trying to get a per. membership with veto power step by step....first she will ask or settle for a seat with no veto power then she will demand the power to veto.

Here is a Western ranking of national power:

Composite Index of National Capability - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Obviously, the Western ranking exaggerates the power of China by miles and miles.

Each component is a dimensionless percentage of the world’s total.
RATIO=
CINC =
Where
TPR = total population of country ratio
UPR = urban population of country ratio
ISPR = iron and steel production of country ratio
ECR = primary energy consumption ratio
MER = military expenditure ratio
MPR = military personnel ratio

Judging that they have taken these equations into the factor, I don't think it's all that bad of a list. But the exaggeration is indeed there.

I suggest you research on this topic.....
US, Russia, Britain and France all support an Indian seat with veto.....
Even Chinese support an Indian seat, but they have not yet taken a concrete stand as of yet on the subject of veto....

Guys one things is for sure, as time goes by 2020,india's military capability will grow,,Our science and technology will improve ,economy will grow, poverty will be decreased, will have lot of influence in Asia..

No one can stop us from growing....If the UNSC doesnt accept India as a member then its use less,we represent 25% of world population by 2020... By then Without India in UNSC,UN is a F**K hole

But one thing is sure,NO ONE can stop us India from growing in every field...let alone these PDF warriors

The bigger the barrel of your gun,the more respect...
