HTT 40 is meaningless for the same reason Saras is, it so delayed that the forced needed to buy foreign alternatives in the meantime (Pilatus and Do 228), which leaves next to no requirement left and therefor the project is unviable.
AMCA and DRDO AWACS are not even wanted by the IAF today...
HTT40 - HAL
Saras - NAL
AWACS India - DRDO
Current AMCA - ADA
All projects that are either not needed, or simply developed with the wrong aims in mind.
:what: Are you serious?
You are missing the important points! First of all, the dedicated strike fighters are not important anymore, since multi role fighters can easily take over their roles and even surpass them. LCA MK1 is better than the Jag already, the Mig 29UPG is far more capable than...
Can somebody tell me from experience, if there are actual changes in operations of the railway since the new government took over and hiked the prices and did they have done what they promised on, clean trains, more saftey...
Also what is the outcome of outsourcing parts of the stations to...
I do, but you don't seems to get, that it's the development side that is delaying the production! The fact that it still didn't got FOC and ADA / DRDO are responsible for that, which leaves HAL as the production agency on the receiving end only. When they make all SP's beyond the 4th dependend...
Interesting but also strange, Rafale gets an additional A2G weapon, but it's neither a low collateral damage, SEAD or heavy attack weapon, but a 1000lb GBU 16.The same weapon that proved not to be that useful at the EF in the Libyan conflict. :tsk:
The outlook for the Rafale NG (around 2025) is...
It's just a proposal of BAE / MBDA, which showed a model of the Hawk with APKWS and Paveway IV if I remember correctly. For India it harldy makes sense, since it would be nowhere close to the strike capability of even the Jags, let alone of LCA or any of the newer fighters.
You got to be kidding me, is he still trying to justify delays??? And does that mean that only 2 fighters will be produced now (SP3 and 4) , with deliver till the end of the year?
Actually we still don't have proper infos on who said what. The NDTV and Livefist article basically talks about India giving Dassault the possibility to give the guarantees now, by getting closer to Dassaults demands on inspections, while making once again clear, that the performance guarantee...
Didn't we said that for a long time? :whistle:One thing on the article strikes me though, HAL is not suppose to produce the RBE 2 AESA radar, but BEL, so are they blaming HAL here for no reason? On the bright side, it tells a lot about the level of our composite know how, when we are able to...
That depends on what exactly this means:
It sounds like MoD has given Dassault a compromise option, to fulfill the requirement of the performance guarantee, by given them access to HAL for inspections. If so, we still need to see Dassault accepting the compromise and to be ready to take...
Because the UPG is just an upgrade to, keep the available Migs viable for the next 10 to 15 years and aimed on the western boders! For the eastern boders they don't play any role and the Mig 29K airframe is modified to implement the larger engine and in future the larger radar, that's not...
No I didn't, that's why I asked you if you think IAF would accept naval fighters and the Mig 29K is very different from the Mig 35 proposed in the MMRCA.
