Fans will be fans. As far as I can tell, Chinese aviation experts still hold Russian aviation in high regard. China has made a lot progress in recent years but there is still a long way to go.
Help goes both ways. Pakistan has been a lot of help for China as well, especially during the 1960s & 70s when China was isolated and under all sorts of sanctions.

This is measured in PPP terms, something that is not endorsed by either the government or the people of China. China measures its GDP in nominal terms only. The news does not make the headlines or the front page in China.
