    The Rafale carries heavy

Doesn't matter because a much better air force (RAF) got it's clocks cleaned out by the French Rafale in both Solenzara (2007) and ATLC (2009). I'm assuming the KSA EFT's would get utterly embarrassed (even more so than the RAF). Saudi's may have nice jets, but their AF Pilots wouldn't even...

They have... Rafale came out on top every time.

100% price escalation on Rafale fighter aircraft to Rs 1.75 lakh crore likely to dent IAF's strike c

That's how you also make enemies. You guys need to get a real defense minister. When I saw the handover ceremony of the INS Vikramaditya your defense minister was wearing a towel for pants. Seriously, how do you guys expect the world to treat you when your leaders show up like unkempt oompa...

    The Rafale carries heavy

F-22 is also not Chinese reverse-engineered junk. JF-17 is the worst light fighter in the world. We can play this game forever.

    The Rafale carries heavy

We're talking about industrial capabilities, not debt so don't change the subject. Last I checked Typhoon and Rafale did the heavy-lifting while Gripen did the running around in circles, hence why i said sans Gripen. Battle experience is battle experience. JF-17 has none and neither do any...

    The Rafale carries heavy

We've had this discussion before, you're not even close. Look at how many arleigh burke destroyers we have.

    The Rafale carries heavy

Doesn't matter.. it saw war. Chinese junk have yet to prove their mettle. First of all, who cares if Libiya sent up jets or not, the Rafale shined in it's encounter. Sorry but none of those countries you listed will go to war soon, so don't get your hopes up. Until then, Chinese junk is...

Libya. Unlike your Chinese crap, they've at least used their machines in theater.

    The Rafale carries heavy

You mean like the same logic used to believe having a missile semi-recessed would lead to an overall smaller RCS?

Maybe the bid had an expiration date on it? :undecided:

    The Rafale carries heavy

With all the jagged little edges and orifices on the bottom of the jet, I'm sure it will have little to no impact on the reduction of the overall RCS. Maybe slightly, but not enough to warrant the loss of 4 mounting points to only one kind of weapon.

100% price escalation on Rafale fighter aircraft to Rs 1.75 lakh crore likely to dent IAF's strike c

That comes with the territory when you have to build the infrastructure for a fighter jet as you're building the jet itself. Its like trying to build a bicycle with no tools whatsoever. There are going to be issues in building the tools themselves. Management problems occur in almost every...

100% price escalation on Rafale fighter aircraft to Rs 1.75 lakh crore likely to dent IAF's strike c

First time jet builders vs seasoned veterans? Not even close. I'm actually quite surprised that India was able to get the Tejas into Production. 1.) No jet building experience 2.) Crappy economy 3.) No aerospace infrastructure facilities 4.) No engineering talent. They either fixed or...

100% price escalation on Rafale fighter aircraft to Rs 1.75 lakh crore likely to dent IAF's strike c

100% price escalation on Rafale fighter aircraft to Rs 1.75 lakh crore likely to dent IAF's strike c

So India's going to spend 2 more years negotiating with the Eurofighter Consortium? And at the rate they are delivering (assuming an additional customer in India), you will get all your jets by 2030 at the earliest. You will not get either with technology transfers. If India were smart, they...

100% price escalation on Rafale fighter aircraft to Rs 1.75 lakh crore likely to dent IAF's strike c

In all honesty, I see this deal going through. The French are going to come to the harsh realization that without this deal, the Rafale dies (both for the international market and local production in France, which means loss of jobs, decrease in economy, the whole nine yards.). French will...

100% price escalation on Rafale fighter aircraft to Rs 1.75 lakh crore likely to dent IAF's strike c

Maybe... but at least we deliver all our goods on time and at a reasonable price (lets be honest, the french were never going to offer you full TOT, that's why they've been nitpicking all this time). Not only that, we would have offered you these: Think about it, we'd even help you with...
