Not the most reliable site for news but for those talking about the "flying bomb truck" what about this one:

Pakistan is looking into this I believe there is an air launched cruise missile named Ra'ad which is still in testing stage of development.
Most of the current PAF inventory could carry one missile only so a platform that could carry at least 2 like JH7B would be suited to this.
JH7B or J10 strike variant would be the best option for Pakistan. A dedicated bomber/strike aircraft as opposed to multi role F16 or JF17 would be ideal.
Pakistan has used the A5 and Canberra aircraft in this role previously and the JH7 was brought into service by China to replace its own A5...
Old news from 2015 BUT given these are two of Pakistans defence Partners I'm thinking Oplot M with Turkish subsystems as Pakistans next MBT.
http://defence-blog.com/army/turkey-now-in-talks-to-upgrade-ukraines-tanks.html
The website also has articles that Pakistan has considered 3 MBTs. VT4...
Given Pakistan has signed a $600 million deal with Ukraine to upgrade Pakistans MBTs I'd be hopeful for Pakistans next MBT to be Oplot M.
If nothing else it would be good to see the existing T80UD fleet brought up to this standard.
@monitor your article hits the nail on the head about commonality across platforms particularly with The MBT fleet.
I'd like to see that extended to engineering support as the ARV Pakistan uses is based on the Type 69 and the AVLBs are base on M48s.
The Russian 2S19 SPH is based on a stretched...
I can't see any Flanker derivative Russian or Chinese being inducted but JH7B is certainly a good option. It was brought into service to replace Chinese A5s and Harbin H5 bombers and given Pakistan had A5s and Canberra bombers in the past it would be a welcome addition to the Navy in a Strike...
From what I've read the Oplot would bring increased crew protection through seperate ammo compartments/bustle loaded ammo and blow out panels.
These are lacking in every Pakistani MBT at present.
If the subs Pakistan procures end up being the S20 variant of the Type 039A subs they can be fitted with alternative AIP systems due to its modular design which includes foreign systems.
If this were the case where could Pakistan look at for these systems?
Different MRAPs will be used for different terrain and environments.
Most protected vehicle I've been in is a Mastiff APC based on the Cougar MRAP. But this was prone to sinking in heavy sand and suited mainly where road conditions allowed it to go.
@MastanKhan we're in agreement about Pakistan putting all its eggs in one basket reference the submarine purchase.
In terms of meeting the Navy's requirements what additional platforms or aircraft specifically should Pakistan be looking at?
So far I've read there is a PN Aviation Plan 2030...
Will AH1Z supplement or replace the existing AH1F cobras already in service?
I'm glad the situation means Pakistan has options available to it and they can select the best platform that meets the army's requirement.
During my military service I saw 3 different optical sights used and 2 different night sights.
With Optical sights the trend was at least x4 magnification and they started using a small holographic battle sight mounted on top of it.
With night sights the trend is towards thermal sights more...
Is there a reason why Pakistan is looking at so many platforms for the attack helicopter role?
I like the idea of Mi35 being inducted as it will help with COIN ops given it has a transport role.
But then there is Chinese Z10, AH1Z and T129 also being considered. Sounds like a logistical...
