Where do you get that info from, during the first test flight the Akinci took of from less than 50m. Fully laden with bombs it would take a longer runway but 900 to 2000m (2km!!!) is BS!
Taking of from 230m would probably not be the problem but the wingspan of the Akinci (20m) is the problem
Sorry bro but this has never been the case. Some amateurs on forums may have uttered that kind of wishes but there has never been any official plans of such nonsense since F-135 engines are not for sale.
Maybe I am just thinking too complex and the C version is pretty much like the B version just with extra algorithms like ATR (Automated Target Recognition) that makes the missile quite fool proof against modern counter measure systems
Could be, I don't know myself but just thinking out loud it would make more sense to expect a supersonic version or a smaller / lighter version than SOM-J suitable for AKINCI like UCAV's
There is also the SOM C1/2 development (apparently an anti ship version of SOM).
Does anyone know what difference it will have to SOM-J that is anti ship as well.
TAI produced many years ago S-70 helicopters under license
This T_70 is also under license with the difference that many systems and avionics are Turkish. It differs so much from the S_70 that they have called it the T_70.
109 are to be produced and first serial production chopper had roll out...
Nope, Turkey send the choppers for overhaul to Russia to a dubious Russian company for the lowest price and that company went bankrupt. Than the choppers stayed there stored for more than a year (I do not know how long exactly) till a new agreement was made the choppers have been overhauled and...
unlikely the whole body structure of the above is not the same as the T-625, from wheels to hinges to the fuselage shape.
I personally expect more a light armed multipurpose helicopter model (maybe like the AW-139 armed)
Re silahdar,
Taking the life of the ship in account taken for average ship is indeed 40 years.
However the Perry class ships were build very strong (ocean going) and we use them mainly around our shores, mediterranean and Aegean hence why the lifetime can go above 40.
Now if we had the vast...
It is the BORA missile though, and apparantly it can be shot from a Yildirim missile launch vehicle (which should not be that shocking since BORA is developped from the Yildirim)
Main reduction of weight will probably come from the rim and tracks.
We use standart steel rims and steel tracks with rubber shoes. Part of the weigth reduction can be gained from there.
Good thinking but I doubt that it is a missile warning system element. Those are already on the wingtips if I am not wrong
Aselsan missile warning sensors
Korhan fighting vehicle (not a real vehicle but a demostrator body to show the Korhan turret) was build by a subcontractor company (I do not remember the name of that company anymore, something like FI metal from memory)
