The country spends billions on poverty alleviation too. Fact remains, we are a nation of a billion plus consisting of states that are largely autonomous. Democracy brings with it a great deal of opportunities, but it also brings vote bank politics to the fore. When it comes to India, the...

There are many initiatives like this. Starting from "teach for India" to schools like Kumar's. The purpose of this thread was only to highlight a single initiative instead of providing an exhaustive list. Making a full list honestly, is beyond me. There are hundreds of initiatives in a single...

Why do some pakistani students in the middle-east study in Indian schools ?

What's really funny is that these students get to learn Indian history and pakistan invasion of kashmir stories. The really funny part is when they have to draw our Indian map prescribed by the CBSE. If any of them have had any pdf experience, they would either quit or commit suicide :lol...

Pakistani schools are very cheap. But their services are also pretty cheap. Up until they passed a law, most pakistani schools including the likes of pak islamia used Maruti omni type vehicles to ferry students. They would be pretty crammed too. Dysfunctional air-conditioners, bad canteen...

Why do some pakistani students in the middle-east study in Indian schools ?

That isn't a great analogy at all. Arabs also study in Indian schools, but in much larger numbers. But for them this wouldn't be an issue, because Indian certificates are valid throughout their region and abroad as well.

Why do some pakistani students in the middle-east study in Indian schools ?

I don't see how transitioning would be an issue. If anything, CBSE syllabus is much more rigorous than Pak syllabus. They would undoubtedly be, at an advantage. The only point of concern, is the validity of CBSE certificates in pakistan for varsity admission.
